Any commercial brand will post dimensions on their website. People need to know how much space will be taken up. Try ecybex.com, hammerstrength.com, atlantis-fit.com for measurements. This will let you get a feel for the Industry standard relating to width and depth. You want to be able to take off a 45lb and not have your bar sling-shot forward. The height is really up to you. I couldn't go higher 82-83 inches as my ceiling was 84.5. Obviously you know how straight forward a power rack is. The big thing I think is how precise do you want your safety bars (8 vs 6 vs 4 inches apart for the holes)? I am talking about a power cage (sorry wasn't paying attention). As for benches, what are you looking for? Flat? Incline? Both are easy (I made both for myself). One thing to keep in mind if you are on the shorter side is the height of your bench. I'm 5" 7.5' and my flat bench is 15.5 inches from floor to top of pad. At this height I am able to have my feet flat on the floor. Same goes for my incline. The commercial one was too high and kicking DB's back for bench was very awkward. Plus my feet wouldn't reach flat on the floor without arching my back to high heaven. Too bad I didn't get this ambitious before I bought my commercial incline. I made it for 1/5 of the $$ I paid for commercial one. I just finished building a Hammer Strength front military press machine. Two buddies came over a week ago to workout and they couldn't believe how kick ass it was. I'd say it's a 99% exact copy. I started on a Hammer incline press last week. I know the tricks this time around and I'll go out on a limb and say this one will be a 99.85% copy. Real easy when I go to a gym and measure up one of theirs. If you don't feel comfortable "winging it", just do the same. Even if it costs you $10 for a day pass, you'll know what you'll have before you start. Anything more feel free to PM me. Now that I think about it, Ermtroudt (sorry if I didn't get it right) posted on anabolex.com in the powerlifting section plans for a power rack/cage some time ago. I'm almost positive. Try a search.
