LB,
Congratulations! Very organized and well laid out. I understand your current cycle and diet are producing great gains... keep it going!

My only suggestion is add a time of day with each meal. What often happens without a specific time to eat is you get busy and/or are still full from your earlier meals and your mid-morning snack or after dinner snack can be missed. With a specific time, even though you're busy or still full, you know it's time to down some more food.

I just came off a bulk and this is what I ate. I started at 185lbs around 6-7% bf and I ended up at 210lbs @ 12-13%. I have dietrf back down to 200lbs @7-8% now. I am 5'10"

Gman,
Way to go with some substantial gains!

Two items... first, same as above, use time of day with each meal.
Second, your first meal takes time to prepare so between that and personal time, you're probably awake at least an hour before you eat. You should probably add a protein drink immediately upon waking. You've gone without protein for roughly 8 hours so put some into the body asap after waking. Keep up the excellent work!

Good job guys!

Thanks for your advice maxrep. My meal times vary from day to day depending on what time I wake up but I make sure my next meal is 2hrs from the last one. 2.5hrs at the most. If you see any other ways I can improve please let me know in the other thread.

Thanks. Until I read this post I've never heard or been told to have a shake immediately upon waking up. It makes sense though to have a shake and then to eat a meal an hour after. It sure will make things easier and faster for me in the morning!

Diet that keeps me gaining weight at a regular pace without adding much bodyfat.

9h00 AM
Big bowl of Optimum Power (Cereal high fiber...)
250ml of skim milk
6 whole egg
2 toast of 12 grain cereal.

12h00 PM
Big bown of Optimum Power
250ml of skim milk with whey protein mixed (60g)

1h Training

2h30
Big smoothie with Blueberry, Acai, Pineapple, Soy Milk + 60g of Whey
(In smoothie I have Greenforce, Spirulina, Omega 3 oil.)

3h00-3h30
Big bowl of Optimum Power
2 can of sardine

5h00
2 Whole wheat tortilla filled with grilled chicken and Spinach
250ml of Skim Milk

8h00
big Steak or extra lean ground beef (half a pound to a pound) with spinach and broccoli (and maybe other veggies)

11h00
60g of Whey in 250ml of Skim milk

This seems to do the trick for me.

Well you 300 pounders are in a special category... in fact it's such a special category I think I'll call the "special" bus to take you around...

Seriously, Grizz is right... this is not so much food. This is what I eat in the real world with a good job and wife and kids. Those of you who are students should be able to eat even more. And those of you who are in the real world like me, don't have an excuse. Unless you just don't want it bad enough...?

Grizz, great to hear from you! Hope life's treating you right! Grizz has been there and done that... big guy feel free to show the rest of us how a 300 lb guy eats! We will try not to faint! :p

Best regards,

Actually, I must have misread that to begin with, because I thought you had more liquid calories in there, but you really don't have that many. It is a hearty bunch of food.

Well, I haven't actually bulked in a coon's age. Really, I haven't tried to get any significant amount bigger in, probably, 3 years. I do get a little bigger, then shrink a little, then get back to that size and then shrink a little, but I haven't done anything like add an inch to my arms or anything.

Too much bulk isn't beneficial in the ring and I'm fairly content with my bigness. Just last night, three people remarked that I'm the biggest person they've ever seen. I can live with that. I "may" be more bodybuilder-esque in the fall, but we'll see. Sure would be nice to have 20+" arms again. This 19.5 is for the birds. LOL

So, I don't actually remember what a bulking diet would exactly consist of, but something like this:

Meal 1-

5 or 6 eggs
Some cheese and ham
1c oatmeal(dry measure)
1/4 c raisins
4 cups of milk

Meal 2-

1 or 2 PBJ sandwhiches
4 cups milk

Meal 3-

12oz tuna(2 cans)
8oz pasta with garlic and red pepper flakes sauteed in olive oil as the sauce
Buttloads of parmesan cheese

Meal 4-

I used to make this PWO drink with milk, eggs, plain yogurt, chocolate syrup, banannas and sometimes orange juice mixed in.

Meal 5-

Probably more tuna and pasta and milk. Lots of milk.

Meal 6-

Probably shortly after number 5 because I got the munchies, because that's what fat guys do, I'd have more PBJ's and milk.

Meal 7-

Maybe a couple of 96% lean sirloin burgers with cheddar on toasted rye bread.

And then maybe a shake or cottage cheese or something before bed.

Basically, if I was bulking, I would eat, roughly:

1-2lbs of pasta
3lbs of dead animal(chicken, beef, fish)
1 gallon of milk
half a loaf of bread
half a jar of peanut butter
and whatever the hell else is up there.

Now, IMO, the most important thing that a guy can do, which is oftentimes neglected, is to keep a food journal. EVERYONE should be measuring, weighing and WRITING DOWN what they eat and what the Calorie/P/C/F breakdowns are.

Also, you should most definitely keep a training journal, too.

But, now that I think about that, I'd probably have to change a few things around if I bulk again, due to the fact that that was a college eating program. With work and shit these days, I'd probably have to go a little more liquid or pack more burges and sandwhiches to work.
