Bumstead busted

On Friday, Sept. 10, the sheriff's office said Bumstead opened the package after a detective delivered it to her home. Minutes later, investigators served a warrant to search the home

According to the arrest report, deputies recovered the controlled substances, which included Testosterone Propionate, Drostanolone Propionate, Trenbolone Acetate, Oxandrolone, Mesterolone, and Stanzolol.

Authorities said Bumstead had powder on her hands which indicated she opened the package.

Rule #1 Should have let the package sit there for a couple of days.

And keep an eye out for suspicious vehicles.

Yeah I wonder how many vials etc it was? I saw on Ian's IG someone asked him "Syn or Inno" and he said Syn all the way so were they getting Canadian UGL's shipped down to them in the US?

Seems like a dicey thing to do for high profile Olympians.
I don’t think high profile bodybuilders like Ian and Chris are going to be using crap UGL gear. I would hope they are going for accurately dosed pharma grade gear

Would that have been the difference maker? "She hasn't opened it in 3 days, i guess we can drop the case."

She grabbed the mail and brought it inside. She took possession of it.

If you're being set up, they're not just going to go away. If anything you'll piss them off more playing cat and mouse games with them.

A difference maker? Probably not. But think about it this way.

Situation A - You do not open it. The police bust in ransack the place and find nothing else incriminating. An unopened box. You do not talk.

Situation B - You open it.

Situation C - What usually happens. You open it. You admit to the cops that "yeah, it's steroids," and you admit you opened it because it's yours.

Which situation gives Rick Collins a better chance of getting you acquitted? A, B, or C?

In B, you have no admission, but the prosecutors are going to tell a jury that there is no other damn reason for you to have opened it other than because you were expecting it. Opening it is evidence in and of itself, because it tends to show something.

In A, your attorney can argue that of course you did not open it, because you did not order it and had no idea why this was delivered to your house. Hey, jury, did you notice that she is closely connected to two big steroid monsters? Think one of them could have used her for cover? Doubt. That is all a jury needs to acquit.

In C, well, hope the prosecution offers pretrial diversion or something so your life is not screwed up by a felony conviction. You have left your lawyer no room to do better for you.

Do not be worried about pissing them off. Shut up and talk to nobody but your attorney.

They will play the nice guy, and, hey, we're not after you, we want who sent you this, so tell us . . . and get you talking.

All you are doing is making your attorney's job harder.

They need some evidence you ordered it. Arguing that she took it off the porch into the house is not the sort of smoking gun that juries find irresistible. Opening the package gets them a little closer. They are going to make decisions based not their own frame of reference. But opening and admitting, you aren't giving a jury any real choice.

Lots of folks try to talk to the police. It is always a mistake. Let them get pissed. Let them make the arrest (they are going to anyway!). But make your attorney's job easier. Do not talk. Do not keep evidence of your order. Do not have other gear in the house when expecting deliveries.

And this folks is why people who ask why the canadian super labs don't ship to USA/Canada, your answer is here. You open up a shit show when you cross borders. There's a reason they are still around 10 years later.
Yep. I guarantee that someone bought it for him and reshipped it across the border for two reasons: none of the major Canadian labs will ship to the US under any circumstances and none of them are located in Quebec.

I am sure the true reason those labs won't ship to USA is that the long arm of US law would go there and bite them. As long as those labs did no business with US citizens then they won't be touched...

Just the same, using Fedex is a bad idea...better would been via Canada Post.

I doubt it was some grand conspiracy, everyone knows as you said you do NOT use UPS or FedEx for international of all things. They are classified as private courier companies and can rip your shit open at their own discretion and send you down the river.

Atleast Government postal services have an air of security with the whole needing a warrant to open the mail with CanadaPost and USPS.

FedEx shipment of AAS to the states is ridiculous and US to canada etc is not scrutinized as people think, USPS/CanadaPost back and forth works just fine if you're not a heat bag.
Not true, the customs are always under government control so not matter what is USPS, FedEx or UPS. They usually recieve alert based on various thing such flagged sender address, suspicious sender/recieved name, ecc.. but before they open it directly they scan under x-ray and it's fucked up then.

I know goverment mail is not perfect but there are certain classes that are more protected and also b) they are oveworked and understaffed resulting in less scrutiny of packages

Fucking Connor strikes again, you have no idea what we have up in Canada, Syn and Pareto operate gigantic operations and are close to or past double digit years in operations.

You know test is test after its HPLC tested right? And as far as I know no one is making Pharma grade of a lot of the stuff pros like that run.

Move along you muppet pros most definitely do use UGL gear especially in Canada when you have stuff like Syn, Pareto, Innovagen floating around. Do we have shit tier bath tub labs? Absolutely but if I had to guess who had gigantic superlabs based on how many reps/websites/product they push with zero complaints its Pareto and Syn.

This is key…the only word you should ever say to the police is “Lawyer” if they have enough to arrest you they will do it either way, they’ll make you think that you’re not going to be arrested by talking to them…but guess what…you will still be arrested.

The no gear in house is great advice also, hard to accomplish sometimes but still very good advice. I only order domestic, it’s still a risk, but a bit less than international orders.

And no…even if you have a prescription for testosterone it’s not going to help you at all, it will be treated exactly the same as someone who doesn’t have one because it’s still an illegal drug that didn’t come from your pharmacy.

There’s always a risk, but @malfeasance offers good risk mitigation strategies…despite what people on this forum tend to say people do get caught, it just doesn’t always make the news

What about if you take the labels off and pretend is the same thing as injectable vitamins or peptides for research purposes? will they send my 3 vials of test to american jano for testing?

Are they going away? No. But they put the powder in there for a reason. Proves she opened it. If she didn't open it then all they have is a package, hopefully addressed to some unknown named person and not herself. That's the whole purpose of the controlled delivery. Without the open package they don't have much of a case.

This topic is being pretty heavily filtered on Canadian boards. Probably for the best in some aspects.
