Can I use L-Carnitine-l-tartrate or N-acetyl-l-caritine to make some injectable L-carnitine? I'm struggling to find a L-carnitine only powder.

It might work, depends how concentrated you try and go, might not be strong enough to stir higher mg amounts. Might have to hand stir at first to get some to dissolve before stirrer can spin
if you stir by hand, do you use like a sterilized spoon or some utensil made for this? sorry if I'm dumb, first time trying to homebrew
 
Good answers to all your questions already but I’ll chime in on the magnetic stirrer. As long as you add the compound SLOWLY and you are making a reasonable concentration, under 500-600mg/mL, it should work. If you don’t add extremely slowly, L-carn will clump badly, and then you’re stuck mixing by hand to break it up.

you put the water in first and the add the powder or viceversa?
If I make let's say 100ml of carnitine, how long will it last at room temp or in the fridge? I'm only gonna use about 200mg a day, so 100ml @400mg/ml will last me 6months

Step by step, you'll just have to do the math to adjust for your concentration: Dirts Brew log

I just pinned 900mg of a 600mg/ml batch that I made in May 2024. Stored at room temp (68F), in a pantry.

It has BA so it should be fine for a year or so if stored out of light, room temp, or in the fridge is fine, especially if you are using lower concentrations that won't be too thick. 400mg might be borderline too thick to put in the fridge and pin straight from it.
