Newport, northern and medi star all the same over priced crap. All great at the start but now just pricey gso.

Out of the three you just mentioned Newport is a well established performer in the Canadian market. Its been around awhile and arguably the most consistently dosed and most sought after brand in Canada, and IMO is likely responsible for more stage presence than any other brand.

But yes, it is a bold statement. To be fair, i should have at least included Innovagen as a solid Canadian UGL that has also established a rock solid reputation and is similarly as private as Newport - but it wasn't mentioned in the above commnet.
