Candidate for 08 ?

Who are we going to vote for to defeat Barrack and or Hilliray ? Who is a likely candidate we can depend on ? The worst thing that can happen to us repubs is having too many candidates to look at.We need to find one guy/or girl and stick with them so our votes do not go 10 different directions.
Also as a side note..If you ran this country (USA)what would you do about Iraq ????

Democrats are winning, bro. There is no Republican candidate that can overcome Bush's public image, unless we can resurrect Reagan. My money's on Billary, and she may turn out to be worth the vote. She can manage domestic issues while her better half takes care of foreign policy.

As far as Iraq, I'd have set a timeframe for drawing out before we ever went in. There would have been clear, concise objectives to reach and respective timeframes on reaching each objective. That way we wouldn't lose sight of our long term goal of defeating terrorism. Without short and medium range goals (that the public are aware of) we've ended up looking like we're losing and the only way to look like we've won is to totally defeat terrorism (which will take decades at best).

As far as Iraq goes, most say were there because of the oil. But I believe were mainly there to try to keep a leash on Iran, which obviously has backfired. If Iran gets a nuke today, they will use it tomorrow on Israel then the USA the next day . They are way more of a threat to everyone than North Korea.
You see they believe if they start a world war Mohammad shall return to save there people. Giuliani is probably the only hope. I'm not repub. I'm not dem. I'm not independant. I vote for whomever I think will do the best job and shares a majority of my views OR has the best chance of taking care of this country.

As for Iran...the nuke they develop will most likely not be able to de deployed effectively. It will be huge, heavy and emitting radiation like a mofo. UNLESS they have been given plans by Russia, China or Korea. In that case....Israel is fucked. BUT, then we'll be happy because Israel will give us XX number of days to get the hell out of Iraq and then they will nuke the whole region. Personally, I like Rudy, but the Christian Right will not put him ina position to win. This is also what liberals don't understand. Personally, IMO the guy who makes the most since and who has done more good for this country than any 5 politicians combined since Reagan is Newt Gingrich. His contract with America is responsible for all the success that Clinton gets credit for. Gingrich is a very very bright guy who could make some waves when he gets into the race. Obama and Clinton don't stand a chance in a one on one debate with the man.

If we leave on monday, the Iranian national guard will be there monday night setting up shop and that's something we can't have. Not only would they control the middle east oil (they could then invade Kuwait and possibly even Saudi Arabia, which is why the first Gulf War was fought...Saddam wanted everything west of Iraq), but they would set up a terror base that stretched from Afghanistan, thru Iran, into Iraq, and up north to Syria.

I truly feel that within the next year, either the US or Israel or both will blow the fuck out of Iran's nuclear sites. It has to be done. Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha can talk to them fuckers all they want but at the end of the day they still want you and I dead.

Another very good point, If that happens, which it will if we leave, We would have to go back the following day. I wish we would have never went there in the first place, because now were stuck. Going there could have been one of the biggest blunders in American history.

Kayz..you make some good points here..I listen to christian radio and they were talking about what a nice guy Gulianni was and they thought he could do a good job but then they went on to talk about his abortion position..that kills him.About the black vote..stats plainly show that not very many of them even vote or are registered voters.If the blacks ever all registered and actually voted you might see al sharpton or jackson go all the way.Speaking of the brothers..have you guys heard the song Rush is playing about Barrack..freaking classic !

Yeah, but who are they calling to gather that info.? If they are calling moderates in cities that view Rudy as "the mayor who handled 9/11 beautifully", then that makes sense. I suspect though that when these guys start campaigning in the south (arkansas, georgia, south carolina) where abortion is a very hot topic, you will see his numbers fall. If you look back a few months, Obama was on fire until people started to learn about him and then he cooled off. I think democrats are over-estimating both Obama and Clinton. Clinton has a ton of baggage and is fake as shit and it will show. Obama is a 2 year senator riding the black wave. Can anyone tell me Obama stands on the issues??? He's done an excellent job at dodging the issues because he has to "feel the american people out" before he can take a stance.

The Republicans face an uphill battle because of W, but I think they'll be okay.

That's my point. He is the first viable black candidate in a long time and everyone (including those in hollywood who know NOTHING ABOUT HIM) jumped on board. Now that people are learning about him, he's cooling off. He is relying on a base (blacks) that's just not there.

I don't think he's muslim, but his dad and grandfather are. I think Obama himself is Christian, or so he claims to be.

Bunch of garbage, I don't know where you got that from. Although I don't share the same beliefs with Iran (Sunni vs. Shia'a), some fundamentals (like the only prophet returning before the day of judgement) are the same; they know that Mohammed is dead, and Jesus is the only one who will come back.

Probably you've heard, but because both Israel and Iran have nukes, the gulf countries and some other Arab countries (like Jordan and Egypt) have actually started developing their nuke programs. The joke of the matter is, it got the blessings of the international community. So instead of effectivly making the area nuke-free, allow the whole neighbourhood to have shotguns because we couldn't convince a couple of bullies to submit their pistols.

I bet you, when the entire region gets nuke, the armageddon would start. WW3 will happen and the entire world would go 1000 years back. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for my country to get nukes, but for the safety of the region, I'd rather not own a shotgun if my neighbours are not allowed to own shotguns.

The hypocracy of the world is that Israel was allowed to own nukes, and run rampant as they please, saying it's a peaceful country and it should own nukes to defend itself. That is the biggest bullcrap, if my neighbour does not like me, and he is allowed to own a shotgun, then I won't abide by the law and not own a shotgun, the law won't save my child if my neighbour decides one day to kill my kids coz he didn't like them. And now it is not easy to attack countries in the region on the basis of WMDs if owning them is selective.
The world has allowed Israel to do as they please (more so the US), if Israel did not own nukes then no one would have an excuse to protect Iran (not even China or Russia).

1st) Iran will not Nuke Israel unless it is nuked first. Why? Because the fallout will cover hundreds of square miles. That will include many of Israel's bordering nations.

2nd) Not all Iranians are muslim and Persians are not arabs.
