Carb Cycling Question

First off i wanted to say hello to everybody on the board.

I'm currently carb cycling and was wondering a few things.

First, i always understood that ketosis is when you are totally depleted of carbs in your system. Now can you still go into ketosis even by taking a small amount of carbs that is way under your body's requirements for the day.

Like in the morning if i have a shake with say a 25gram serving of carbs, and then no more carbs throughout the day. Do those 25 grams still do something or is it so minimal that i can still reach ketosis cause i'm 230 lbs..

Also is black coffee bad to drink while trying to carb deplete? What are some good foods i can eat while carb depleting. I am currently living off tuna, fish, beef, chicken and supplements.

any advice or input will be appreciated..

thanks

A person will enter ketosis when they ingest fewer than 100g of carbs per day. It wont show up on Ketostix, but you will be circulating ketones in your blood (ketonemia).

The goal of a low-carb diet isnt really to reach ketosis, as its not really anything spectacular.

thanks for the info, i wasnt aware of that.

what are the cleanest carbs to eat while doing this?
I suppose if you washed an apple real well, then that would probably be the cleanest. :D
