Hi Guys, quick question. I've purchased 'refined' Castor Oil, not may I add the'super refined' type which needs purchasing from pharmaceutical type companies here in the UK. Once I've made my brew, including compound, GSO,EO,BA and BB and then filtered it through a .22 pvdf filter is the Castor Oil component safe for IM use. I only ask as it is my first time using Castor Oil in a brew and my research is bringing up conflicting reports re the Castor Oil being 'refined' and not 'super refined'.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks.

It's fine. More refined the better but I've used castor that simply says usp grade. Yours should be safe. It's actually hard to find pharma grade castor compared to other oils actually. There's like one company that sells it but you have to have a license and get a quote they won't sell to consumers directly as easily as you can access pharma grade mct. Kinda odd. Think I saw a thread about this way back when here.

I would be a lot more worried that you have used pvdf filter than the difference between refined or super refined castor oil lol

Hi Sampei, thanks for the reply. I've always used pvdf, am I missing something then ? Is there a better option ptfe ? Nylon ? Any advice would be appreciated.

Pvdf is not good with Benzyl benzoate.
Use PTFE or if you don't have those use nylon.

PTFE recommended
