Do you think Im cheating my self for doing chair squats?I dont powerlift, it just feels better not going past the chair...Im mean on leg develment...How much could this affect it?

Chair squats are a variation of the AlMIGHTY BOX SQUAT.

One day a week do regular deep squats, e.g. Monday later that same wk hit Chair or Box squats. Be sure you come down a lil' slower and maintain strict form.Momentarily pause at the seated position after inhaling deeply all the way down. Then with good form exhale fast and push straight up swiftly like a BIG DAWG.Don't move so fast that you lose your weight off your shoulders at the top.

Your legs and hip flexors are going to strengthen really well. You'll gain good mass and strength. Squats should be in every BB's lifting regimen. You'll break any lower body plateu's you have after a couple wks with good form.

You don't have to go real heavy, starting out. Start out light and take it up each wk.I think you'll like the results you see in around two or three months with consistency, and feeling the new power in your lower body.

Make sure your eating every 2.5 to 3 hours, and you'll see your self grow.

Well personally I think Oly squats, done ass to the grass, are best for leg development.

I box squat at least once a week, but it mostly develops my posterior chain. If you're concerned with quad development you'll have to go Oly squats.

Yep, Freddy is right. I love box squats because I am a powerlifter and I believe they help me become stronger at competitive powerlifting squats, however, if you are looking for overall mass, nothing beats going ass to grass.

Plus, no has mentioned that most of us squat on a box between 12-15". I've never seen a chair that goes that low, which means you are cheating the heck out of your squats.
