Chances of Trazodone killing your dick?

I wanna take this for sleep but the priapism side effect is worrying. You'll literally lose your penis if you have a boner for hours that won't go away, which trazodone apparently causes.

Anyone here taken Trazodone before? How bad was the wood?

Well I have never been prescribed it I’ve used it several times and once at a high dose (ex addict) and never recall having issues. Except for trying to wake back up lol

I took it when I was younger and never had this issue. I didn't like it very much at all. I would get extremely hungry from it though and go eat food half asleep. I woke up with a half eaten sandwich in my bed one time.. no recollection of ever making it or eating it. I think that was the last time I ever took it.

Didn't know priapism was a risk. I've used it successfully for sleep many times.

It can also cause retrograde ejaculation, where you nut into your bladder.

I found my biggest issue after eating a couple of those was remembering where I was going once I realized I was driving.

There are far better sleep drugs available. I took it one time for insomnia, a long time ago, never again.

Had a similar experience with a little known drug called Xanax. For some reason it was more pronounced after some alcohol, who would have thought?

Alcohol and BZD potentiate their short term (and some long term) side effects so thats to be expected

The first 2-3 times my wife and I took 50mg Trazadone, it was a nightmare of anxiety and paranoia, with the worst dry mouth ever.

After that, it was a gift from God. No bullshit. It is unmatched in its ability to silence the voices in your head and calm your mind. You just have to survive the first several attempts.
