Cheap Pfizer/Hospira BAC may be about to end

Heard through the grapevine Medex will soon be requiring prescription for Hospira BAC. Considering some places are selling this for $15-30 / vial, this is a steal at $4.

They just jacked up the price, but still a bargain,

Add some BD 31g syringes to get over the free shipping hump to save $15.

The BAC is 99% of what you inject, may as well use real pharma grade while you can get a case of 25 30ml vials for less than a kit of most peptides.

Since I’m sure it’ll be asked - how long is it good for after expiration date?

Forevvzzzzz

I think I have to start getting in business of selling gluthatione and Bac pyrogen free water.

I have access to both for peanuts.
I wonder if it's ok shipping to USA or it's considered illegal xD

Pretty much yeah. I just learned another difference between this and UGL. Pfizer uses a custom Olefin vial that, unlike other polymers (or borosilicate glass) doesn't leach chemicals or change the PH of the water over time. PH is the most important factor for keeping reconstituted peptides stable.

COP=Olefin Polymer

"The semi-rigid vial is fabricated from a specially formulated polyolefin. It is a copolymer of ethylene and propylene. The safety of the plastic has been confirmed by tests in animals according to USP biological standards for plastic containers. The container requires no vapor barrier to maintain the proper labeled volume."

They just noticed y'all (UGL and Peptide folk) buying it and raised prices. Prices aren't up for some Professional settings

Unfortunately this attention is what's likely bringing this to an end. BAC is an RX product that's illegal to dispense without a prescription, absurd as that is.

Anything is possible.

I'm inclined to believe the price went up because MedEx was selling old batches of Hospira with 05/2025 expiration dates at $86.95. I exchanged mine and was sent 03/31/2026 expiry.

If they are getting new batches, and since prices of goods continue to rise, I imagine an $8.00 increase (9%) is on par.

However, as with everything else that pertains to @Ghoul's clairvoyance, I've gone ahead and ordered another case (I guess I'll just have to hold off on "Taurine Transport Bac" for now).

What I don't understand is the Rx requirements, if any, regarding Bac. Some places will state a Rx is required, but after placing an order it's not requested. This has happened with Bac and other "uncontrolled" products on these medical supply websites.

It's a matter of selective enforcement. "Rx only" is definitely prohibited by federal law from being dispensed without a prescription. They removed "Rx Only" from most syringe packaging so states could opt to sell syringes for harm reduction purposes.

Meanwhile tap water/rubbing alcohol "reconstitution solution." can be sold freely on Amazon for $20/vial since it doesn't have "Rx" on the label.

It's amazing they let you order without verifying your registration.
All the med supply sites here would have to do that, before allowing you to have an account with them.
They ask to upload ids, medical licences, everything.
There is no way I can order pharma grade bac water without all that.

It's New Jersey.

Worker: "Does this guy have a Medical License?"

Tony Soprano; "Yeah, it's his credit card number."

Make some friends with medical licenses. Beauty spas which do Botox and fillers will work. You could always ask them to order an extra case for you when they resupply.

I just tried to place an order and it keeps telling me there is an "unknown error." Could be just coincidental, though I've not had issues ordering in the past... sigh

Edit: and making a new account allowed the order to go through...so who knows

It's been that way for a long time

OP is not posting anything new

Mea culpa. I don't remember seeing that from Medex.

I contacted 2 other sources and it seemed like they really wanted to work with me, like "please just send us any [photoshop] 'license' and we'll sell to you."

Despite having a pretty high risk tolerance, I lack the cojones for that.
