i use mcafee and it blocks any unexpected communication by default, you can chose to let it proceed if you recognize it. i used to use zone alarm but it didn't do shit for me.

it blocked a tcp/ip port scan when i accessed that site.

i could put up the trace on the scan if you'd like.

i checked which port it attacked and it doesn't have any important info access, but i don't like it when i'm being scanned by a server that i don't expect. especially since it got through my router firewall.
