Chest cramping

I have been training for a raw bench comp....so sets of 3-6 the last 2 months.....mostly 5 rep sets. The weird thing is I'm getting cramping in my chest.....enough that I get mild injurys to that area and have to stop. No other part of my body has this problem when I do low reps so I don't know what the problem is......feedback would be great on this topic..
 
how many times a week are you training the chest? It could be as simple as overtraining the muscle. See Animalmass's post on workouts for his "raw gritty strength" suggestions. Although, at this point, you may be too close to the competition to be comfortable changing things up.
