yes, its eye opening. actually to summarize it, statins are still good and helping even to reverse atherosclerosis and fight inflammation, but its not due to lowering LDL itself, rather due to its pleiotropic effects. LDL itself is not enough good marker of future CVD, rather we should focus on oxidized LDL and inflammation markers such as CRP
