Coming out of the shadows

Hi everyone. I would like to waste some of your time today to introduce myself. I have been lurking around the shadows for quite some time now here and doing my research and learning anything I can from this forum. I found the information here to be very useful and so are the experiences shared by the community.
I first wanted to take steroids I think two years ago seeing how my friends got huge from it. Then I did tons of research but I backed out of it because I thought needles were scary and I didn't know where to get it from. I couldn't get it from my friends because they were my high school friends living in my hometown and I had already moved out to another state because of college. Now two years have passed and the thought of using steroids has surfaced on my mind again. I'm still debating whether I should take it or not. So let's see what happens :)

My stats:
Male
22
5'6
138lbs
4 years of lifting history
Around 20% bf

My goals are to get bigger and then leaning out or to lean out first then getting big while staying lean

Your not "wasting" my time brother.
Welcome to Meso, it's a great community for guys that love to train with or without AAS.

Here's a nugget for you though my friend, you need FOOD! Lots of it...just make it clean calories from whole foods, lift hard, and throw some light cardio in there a few days a week and you are on your way...

I couldn't agree with TEK more. You need to eat brother. Getting big is not all about taking Steroids. They do help but not as much as one thinks. You still have to consume the food for your body to grow and have your training in check as well. I would suggest you increase your calorie intake and hit a little cardio also to lean out some of the fat. Now that doesn't mean lean out fat in your diet. You need to do some research on dieting as a bodybuilder and get that part out of the way. Then you might realize that you can get a lot bigger and leaner without AAS. After you reach a point where you are eating 4 to 6 thousand calories a day and your growth has slowed down then you can start looking into taking AAS. Just remember that steroids aren't miracle drugs and without proper diet and training they won't do much at all. Oh yeah I almost forgot
Welcome to Meso brother

Get to 175 @ 12% before you cycle. If you can't do it without steroids you shouldn't take them.

Welcome being 138 and 20% bf isn't too good. You definetly need to dial in your diet and workout regimen before you get on AAS. If you don't control it now you're not going to be able to maintain whatever gains you made on AAS.

thank you all for the replies
so heres the thing.
like ive mentioned, ive been lifting for about 4 years now but the last 1 year i slacked off BIG TIME and i gained some fat and lost muscle. so about 2 months ago i started to be more serious and decided that i will cut down my bf a bit. started off with carb cycling and the first week went great but after that i couldnt lose any weight for shit. and guess how much calories i was getting? i was in a 1300 calorie diet on low days and like 1500-1600 calories on hi days. i was doing 3low-1hi cycle. anyways so i did that for about a month and couldnt lose any weight after the first week. and now the past month ive just been trying to maintain
now i did say im 138lb but i definitely dont look like im 138lb. when ppl ask me about my weight and i say im 138 they are ALWAYS like wahhhh???? they think im at least 150lbs. so i believe i may have like low bone density which makes my weigh less than i look. anyways, i do believe that i can definitely get bigger with just diet and working out properly so i dont think i'll do steroids now.
but i do want to lose some weight before i start on a bulk. and about diet, i do know how to diet properly. i know how to count macros. infact, im a senior nutrition major and i have done macro counting for a while now so diet is not a thing of concern for me. my only problem is that my slacking off in the last year fucked up my metabolism and now i cant lose weight at 1300 calories and i dont wanna go any lower than this to lose weight because my metabolism will only get worse.
ive been doing quite some research on DNP and i may want to do that for like 2 weeks and then start a lean bulk
waht do you guys think?

I would visit a doctor first... check thyroid function and make sure you ticker is doing well- when I took dnp I thought I was going to die. It was truly horrible, but everyone reacts different. You have a great attitude about stuff- keep learning, keep asking questions.

Welcome and happy thanksgiving dude!

ya i know DNP's sides could be very toxic and intolerable but as you said, not everyone gets the same side effects so im willing to try it out and see how it goes
