I'm a bit confused with this HOMA-IR thing. I had both insulin and BG in range and calculated HOMA was showing severe insulin resistance. How's it possible?
That was in the end of my bulk, i was already 25lbs up and after seeing that i decided to pull the plug, despite my excellent HbA1c.
So, fasted BG was 96 and fasted insulin 14,9. My HbA1c was 4,9. I was on 1gr cycle + oral, HGH 3,6 IU pre bed and 500mg berberine twice a day. Overall calories 4,500 - 4,800 with 720 carbs.
One thing i didn't know when i did this bloodwork is that taking HGH 12-24 hours before giving blood it affects both fasted insulin and BG, i don't know how much though but even the slightest decrease in both will result to a different HOMA IR outcome.
Unfortunately i haven't any fasted insulin when i started pushing food so i can't estimate HOMA to compare before and after.
