I recently decide to try Corning filters. I can't tell you guys just how unimpressed I am with them. I have used 4 of them at this point and I keep finding that they do not hold pressure like they should. I have had all of them let air in at the base of the oil container and the filter.
When using Whatman filter I have never had this happen. The same for Autofil system, no issues. Med lab supply has stock again so I just picked up what I am comfortable with and know works.
I do not know if this is an isolated incident to my purchase (amazon order, waiting on a resolution from the seller) or if others have had these issues in the past. I did try different manufactures media bottles but the spec is all the same on them so the results were identical. The pumps hold air without issue as well.
A little peeved about loosing some oil to some filters than don't stay sterile but if this helps another member avoid the same mistake I'll take it as a win.
