Creating deeper ab insertions

I was wondering what everyone does for their ab training, specifically those who do not have a genetically gifted midsection.

I have always had very shallow abs, and they really only show nicely when I am very lean, like sub 10% BF. My waist is very slim, so I have a nice V-Taper, but the abs themselves don't really "pop." I have tried heavy training, high rep/low volume, low rep/high volume, hitting them from all the angles. I have tried it all.

Has anyone had real success making their abs pop better or look like they are deeper? I envy those guys whose abs show even at higher BF %. I am in the classic division and obviously a great looking midsection is key to doing well.

Midsection is mainly genetics but you can control some variables,
1. Train your abs like any other muscle it works the same way. Do a Spinal Flexion movement of your choice 2-3x per week close to failure and progressively overload it,
i personally use the lat pulldown tower with a rope attachment on it, you just hold it and crunch down focusing on really flexing your abs and not working with your hip flexors.
2. get really really shredded if youre unlucky genetically and store your last bit of fat in your midsection you might need to cut way way deeper than others for that last bit of fat to dissappear and show those deep separations
3. Learn proper midsection control
do stomach vaccuums and really focus on ab control during your posing, the way you present yourself matters, maybe you can make your genetically bad midsection appear average
