Hello guys of course I no you can freeze chicken, but can you cut the breasts in two then freeze them separately etc. as I have got some chicken but the portion size is far far to big any one give me some tips please.?

Yes it is perfectly fine to cut your breasts into whatever size you wish. I always pre-cut into a min of 2-3 servings per freezer bag. That way whenever I take one out of the freezer I know it will cover 2-3 meals and it is pre-weighed.

Thanks guys had 7.5 kg of chicken come in and the breasts was bloody huge, Like easily 4 meals per bag haha!.

Freezing is a great way to stock up on good prices on things you know you will need. I will generally throw my favorite spices in a freezer zip lock bag and remove as much air as possible, then store in freezer. When it gets closer to needing them I take them out and defrost in fridge. The spices are already in bag so when Im ready to cook, it is preseasoned, easy and great tasting

I cook my meals portion them all out for the week then freeze in Tupperware and take out the day before I'm going to eat the food. Some things don't taste as great after being frozen but it's the most convenient way for me.

Can you give us some tips on what stays well frozen after its cooked?

What do you mean like put the spices on the meat before you freeze them etc.? Ty

Yep thats what i do, thy dont add any flovor while frozen but it works well while defrosting, makes for very flavorful chicken. I have also done it with other meats.

I also tried it with liquid marinade, just dont add to much

its ok to cut into portions and freeze. even zip bag each piece and freeze them and they are easy to use.
better than tryin to cut something frozen or waiting hrs to thaw it and only use some of it.

I buy whole birds then cut some of them up as well as keeping few whole ones to cook in a crockpot with seasonings.
