Cut Time - Team Stacking Plates W/ ChestRockwell

Yep, and that is average weight. And he has been on relatively "high" intake numbers up until this point.

Going to start making him really suffer next week :)
Can I take back the money I just sent you :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Just kidding! Guys, I honestly can't speak highly enough about Chest's professionalism, and his lady's, too. She more "behind the scenes" with most things, but seems to be equally as important in the grand scheme of things... Plus, she puts up with me being lazy and retarded, sometimes forgetting to send in data, and manages to somehow look at my "nudes" every week and still hasn't killed herself. She's a solid chick, I'm sure of it!

@Wunderpus How are you liking the winstrol so far? Just taking it 50mg on training days pwo? Thinking about adding it in the last 4-6 weeks of my cut. I've only used it once along side a highish dose of EQ and they just didn't mesh well for me. I think I'm just one of those that absolutely hates EQ though. Looking back now the shit makes me bloated...especially in the face.

I like winstrol, always have. I take it every day, but I am taking it PWO on training days, whenever on non-training days... I see no reason to NOT add it, it's a good drug IMO.

Mast primo wins should like a nice cut. Adding anavar would make it a godly cut cycle. That sounds like something I wanna try. Mast, primo, wins and anavar. WOW. I just never cut I always bulk. But when I do that might be the one. How you feel mentally?

Mentally I feel great! I don't know how one "always bulks" as I feel like I would hit a number of plateaus and my sensitivity would go to shit.,....

hmmmm. Well I switch the compounds around a lot, which helps. If I were to cut I eat at maintenance not at deficit. I have been only cycling for 2 and half years. So I think I could still just bulk. Maybe I will cut soon. But I was 165 and now I am 220. I was 230 4 weeks ago but got sick. So Now I am 220. 15 percent body fat,

Post up some before and current pics, I'd love to see the change of 165-> ~220

We're approaching the end of week 3, so, I wanted to update a few things...

Weight is slowly dwindling down, around 15 or so pounds down. It seems to be slowing a bit, I imagine a lot of it was water retention. I'm feeling pretty strong now, not as depleted as I felt the first week or so, which is a relief.

I'm still trying to move heavy-ish weight around with good form and intensity, but I'm finding that's taxing my system just TOO much... This Gauntlet program is tough for a cut... You really don't seem to recover before you blast a body part again, so I may change this in the coming days. I will most likely switch over to Meadows Onslaught program, as it only brutalizes one body part per week, not many.... His contest prep is also an option, I'll take a look at both.

Veins are popping out, which is nice.... A bit hard to see with the tattoos, which is kind of the price you pay... Thankfully, I'm not a competitor so i don't care TOO much about people seeing the definition.

No huge changes as far as drugs, we upped the test just a bit... I feel like it's helping with maintaining a bit of fullness, as I'm not running an AI... If i were pre contest, I'm sure we'd be looking at an AI. But, no E2 related issues to speak of, so I'm happy.

Had a vacation last week into this weekend, and then it was the 4th... So diet was a tad bit sloppier, but I tried to control myself :)....It's SO hard to eat clean when you're in unfamiliar territory.

I know I'm really behind on this thread, and I hope your resolved the fatigue issues. If I recall correctly, Medows strongly recommends taking Plasma for intra nutrition. Maybe you already address this issue further down..

*Update*

@Inquiring Mind - possibly - unintentionally reminded me I need to post some updates.

First and foremost, things are good. Actually, really good. Friends of mine who have been following this journey closely, I believe, would agree.

Strength has gone down a bit, maybe, but, I feel pretty explosive and powerful in the gym. I find pre workout and intra workout nutrition to be KEY for this. Let me explain how I DO this, as, it's not something that Chest necessarily supports or rejects, he pretty much lets me time my food as I wish within certain macros and time spans. Your macros and needs will vary, so, my amounts are irrelevant to you... If you can't put together a reasonable ratio of macros, start learning about that NOW.

Wake
Cardio
-Eat high fat, high protein medium carb meal
-Shake w/ no fat or carbs
-Lunch with meat and non-glycemic veggies such as broccoli, asparagus etc (think keto diet, but, obviously I'm not on keto)
- 1 hour pre lifting 1 do 1 cup cream of rice with 1-2TBSPS of almond butter and a protein shake. The "idea" so to speak, is an insulin release trickle rather than huge spike and crash during my lift. So, "fast" and easily digested carbs with easily digested protein and some healthy fat to slow it down a bit. Ya dig?
- 1 hour post lifting lean meat meal w/ fibrous veggies and clean carbs such as rice

^There you have it, the secret, the magic, all has been revealed

Now, my "reasoning" for this is senstivity and timing related. I want PEAK insulin sensitivity (duhhhh, we want to be as sensitive as possible to all wonderful things such as insulin) and timing... What do I mean by this? Well, I fast about 14 hours out of the day. Why? Fasting has been proven to increase insulin sensitivity (yes, @mands don't even tell me this isn't a true fast ;) I know....)! Timing the insulin spike for my workout is not really intended to stimulate growth, in this phase, more intended to keep my workout intensity as HIGH as possible. The last thing I want to lose is my ability to perform in the gym, well, maybe second to last behind in bed. Hmm, I don't know, tough call.

Anyway....

Speaking of performance... Fuck me sideways... I have been humbled by Chest's focusing on electrolytes. I never, ever, even tracked them. I thought they were gimmicky tricks used by brands like Gatorade to essentially sell you salt... Well, guess what like minded meatheads? They are HUGE. I was just getting them in by eating real foods that happened to incidentally contain some... I was feeling sluggish, think Jabba the Hutt, and then my electrolyte suggesting messiah Chest Rockwell came down like an angel from heaven and told me "Stop being so stupid, eat more electrolytes, I'm smart than you and way better looking... Let me persuade you with my science and good looks..." I bit, and within a day, a fucking day, I was feeling like a hooker with a negative STD panel baby! I felt good! Kids, the message here is: Don't use condoms, but make sure you take in enough electrolytes.

Jumping off the tren train hurt me emotionally, a lot. I thought you needed tren to cut, I mean, isn't that what we're all told? Yeah, well, I guess not.... Primo and winstrol took over it's "place", and results have been BETTER with no sides... I have switched over to pharma Bayer Rimo amps (more on that later, on another post, maybe, who knows? Keep watching and refreshing your browsers).

I don't know what my weight loss overall has been so far, and I honestly don't know how much I've lost in my waist... But, I'm sure @ChestRockwell does because he's the numbers and data guy... I just write shit down and pretend to be an expert when people ask me about it at work and the gym.

If you're still reading this, you're probably really bored. To sum it up, electrolytes are good, tren isn't necessary and time your foods.

Bye, *kisses*!

Oh, PS, stop having your wives, mothers and girlfriends sending me fan mail... I honestly can't reply to all the pics and emails. I'm sick of it.

Dude, great info! So good to hear all this

I'll be honest, @ChestRockwell is starting to sound like some of my favorite current authors and fitness friendly scientists. Shall I call you Layne or perhaps Bret Contreras? Stoppani, Peter attia ? Maybe a girl... Cate Shannahan (or husband Luke!!)?

Lol... chest, what are some good books that you would suggest (or that you've written), the more sciencey (word?) the better

In looking over the data, there has been an overall (weekly average) decrease of eight pounds on the scale. But the much cooler aspect is that you're down almost three inches around the waist.

And remember, we didn't even have the ability to measure for the first month or so, this means we could be looking at even greater losses around the midsection while keeping size where we want it.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. @Millard Baker and I are talking over some potentially exciting things in the coming weeks so do stay tuned for this...

I spend most of my time on PubMed these days, so I've been out of the loop with any of the potentially newer books to hit the market. If you are looking for something that really helps build foundational knowledge - "Advanced Nutrition and Human Metabolism - 6th Edition" is a good one...

Super exciting man. Added to reading list. Thank you

Okay, update time.

As of yesterday, the cut has been abruptly stopped. I found out I have to go in for an unexpected surgery on friday morning, so Chest and I both concluded this would be a good time to drop everything and run a "cruise" for the next 6, or so, weeks.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the work we did. Significantly leaner, while retaining almost all strength. The amount I learned was worth the cost of admission tenfold. I will never neglect tracking electrolytes, I cannot overstate their importance. Also, I learned that you can have an effective cut without the usage of trenbolone.

We'll be keeping daily macros at a "maintenance" level, to avoid putting on TOO much soft weight before the mass gaining phase. This game is about adaptation.... And, while I wasn't ready to cut this cycle short, it's the right call.

I'm realizing now this log was underutilized and was lacking in a lot of the details I would've liked to have shared, so I will start logging more in-depth this cruise period.

Here was yesterday's workout, for those who like trying new shit:

Flat Barbell Press

- Work up to 8 rep max, 4 sets of 8 or to failure

Seated DB press

- Work up to 8 rep max, 4 sets to failure after 8 rep max is found

Dips

- Bodyweight dips/assisted, should hit at least 20 reps per set. 4 sets to failure.

Cable Flys

- Work to 10 rep max, 4 sets to absolute failure

V bar tricep pushdowns

- Work up to 10 rep max, 1 second iso hold and 3 second negative on each rep, 4 sets

Flat DB CEP Press (look up "Ben Pakulski CEP training" to learn more about)

- Work up to 8 rep max. Do 1 set of 8, weighted stretch for 40 seconds… Drop weight by 20% do 8-10 reps (failure) and another 40 second eccentric stretch….Drop weight by 20% again and go to failure, 40 second eccentric stretch followed by 1 rep as slow and controlled concentric and eccentric possible.

DB side raises

- 4 sets of 8/failure

Cable front raises

- 4 sets of 8/failure

As unfortunate as this unexpected setback was, I think that it will certainly be a good time to remove external stressors from the body and just let it rest and heal up.

We'll cruise on essentially TRT for the coming weeks and then get a set of bloods performed to ensure there are no unexpected issues that will prevent us from transitioning over to a growth/mutation phase. I think I speak for both of us when I say I'm very excited to get started growing you...
