but his levitation trick is called "the balducci levitation" its all based
on the angle --he is bascially levitating on the balls of one toe...

you may say " but it looks like hes 3 feet off the grown"

you will never see people in the front while this is done becuase these shots
are done "after the fact"

what makes him a genius is his delivery

We had a programme in the uk showing how all of david blaines illusions are done, it kinda puts a dampner on things, particularly the levitation thing, and I agree having seen the whole thing its his delivery that makes him great. David Copperfield has never been explained, did you see him "float" over the grand canyon?????

Yeah, I d/l'ed a few of his magic trick e-books. The show that you saw on TLC, edited out all the times he fucked up. They also added footage to make the tricks look more real. I wanted to figure out how I could do the magic (street magic) that he does... but once I saw how he did it... it kinda sucks. He had the camera crew helping him w/ a few of his tricks. He would pass cards to them (crew) ect... use fake coins... fly in a freezer... blah blah blah. Nothing really special when you finally see how it is done.

i've already heard about how the street levitation was done..but that's how other people do it..not blaine..if you watch the show again you can see that they have the camera angle where you can see both feet forward so there's no way he can balance on the ball of his toe....i know most of the tricks were edited so you only see the good parts but still he does do a good job decieving the viewer..like you guys said it's all in the delivery and of course cool ass props(fake ass bendable quarters)don't hurt either

i think the stunts that reqiure all that mind over matter shit are a lot more interesting then the tricks... yeah the tricks are amazing, i cant do any of that shit, but i think if you took 100 peple and taught them how to do the tricks and let them practice for a year, and let 100 people train to stay in a ice ccube, or standing in one spot for like howveer many hours he did, most wouldnt be able to do those. Its not that easy as just not eating and shit, its crazy...
