Day 4 of H's DNP.

I think i am doing everything right and taking all the recommended vitamins, water, etc. My weight has dropped a good 4-6 lbs, which is contradictive to what everyone else has experieneced. I am drinkng tons of water. Didn't know if I should just be happy or if it is dangerous. Did 200 mg on day 1 and 400 mg the last three days. Sweating a lot when I am not in front of a fan or outisde. Went to the zoo with my kids and was soaked inside 5 minutes. Has anyone else lost significant weight during the cycle?

Oh also, V-8 sucks my ass. An Ultra Met shake has over 500 mg of potassium so no more V-8's for this guy.
 
I was 188 when i first woke up and 191 before i went to bed. I only took 200mg the first day and drank plenty of water and ate my normal diet but added some more simple carbs. When I woke up this morning i was 185. I do look a little more bloated from all that water though. I was pretty shocked I was that much lighter but I dont really care what I weigh cause its all about how I look a few days after I get off it. I plan on going up to 400mg tomorrow.

how much and what are you eating? i am hungry at shit all day long. didn't know if it was better to eat when hungry or just suck it up. id on't want to get sick like some other guys have written.
 
I haven't been hungry at all. I've been forcing myself to eat protein shakes and chicken along with fruit every couple of hours.

I haven't felt sick at all, but I'm burning hot.

i HAVE to be by a fan. no question about it. at the geocities web site that H refers to, they say eat your maintenance. for me about 2500 cal. and 50% from carbs, 35% protein and 15% fat. that is over 300 gr of carbs. is anyone eating that amount of carbs?.
 
I've been eating around 2000 calories a day with 200g in carbs 250g in protien and about 25g of fat. So far I have felt great and only a little warmer then normal but my workout was not as intense.
 
The variance in weight loss is due to many factors, dose, genetics, metabolism, diet, bodyfat, exercise, etc. Even among individuals your weight will fluctuate dramatically, I have woken up, pissed, and weighed myself, and been down two lbs from the night before, but when I weigh myself again before bed I'm up three lbs. This is why I usually advise weighing before the cycle and a few days after when the water drops, the rest of the time just fucks with your head. It is interesting to see the weight drop quickly, but unless you're using a fairly high dose (600mg or more) it's not going to consistently drop a lb every single day. For your average 7 day cycle I'd say a weight loss of anywhere from 4-6 lbs is pretty good, espeically if you think about how long that would take naturally.

If I get major cravings, there's a grocery store less than 2 minutes down the road so I can run and get some. The fruit seems to be doing well. I haven't been hungry at all, I'm having to force myself to eat lately.

so 600 mg is the dosage at which one could most likely see 1 lb a day of fat loss? i still don't really feel that bad. yeah, i am sweating but i sweat a lot anyway. i can keep a fan beside me almost all day. the only time that i really notice is at night. it's like a wet the bed every night. going to try the benedryl to se if that helps. did you say that ambien was okay to take? all it is is a sleep aid. nothing major. just didn't know if there may be interactions between the dnp and ambien.

lastly, is cardio or lifting better? if you are not going to build any muscle while on dnp, it seems you would be breaking down your muscle while lifting and your body would be too drained to rebuild is back at all. i'm sure my thinking is probably off but would love for someone to explain the benfit of lifting on dnp. sorry so long.
 
I don't do cardio, so I'd say go with lifting, but really you should go with whatever you can stick to while on. I think you should still do some lifting just to try and keep strength levels at a minimum.
There's no guarantee you'll lose a lb a day at 600mg, some people just have a higher tolerance, but for myself when I use 600-800mg ED the fat loss is very rapid. Problem is that it's hard to stay on that dose for more than 4-5 days, unless you don't have a job and can just sit at home breathing and sweating all day.

maybe it hasn't all kicked in yet but i don't feel bad at all. not tired or lethargic. just sweaty but like i said i can sit by a fan all day at work. i guess i will see how long i can run it. been at 600 mg for two days now and doing okay. still liftng and light cardio.

point taken. i do think i am taking the steps to make it as safe as possible. vitamins, water, potassium, fan etc.
