***Depression and STeroids***

It is said that steroids ...cretian ones in particular cause depression .........such as tren,deca..ect

Why is this???

Does it affect your hormones in a negative way or is a person just depressed after a cycle because u loose the juiced look and feeling like a rock???

Please share your experiances.....

People with a pre disposition for depression may experience depression if their test:estrogen ratio is way out of whack, like post cycle if you don't do a proper PCT.

testosterone levels. Its been shown that long term steroid use can lower your own testosterone production. If test levels low, you tend to be more depressed. I know I feel incredible while on, happy, unbeatable, GREAT!

I always start feeling like a girlyman about 4 or 5 weeks after coming off a cycle.I think alot of it is pchycological(sp) though.Like was said above, if your prone to depression, it might be more intense.Your fukin' with your hormones and gear affects alot of people, alot of different ways. Increased progesterone(caused by nandrolone) can lead to depression in males-it's not psychological it's a hormonal imbalance that effects your mood.
Don't
use deca without test as test is a mood elevator for most. Better yet if you are prone to depression get on an anti depressant before during and after your cycle.

if youre predisposed, test causes depression. trust me i know it very well. especially around week seven or eight. you have to choose between dealing with the depression or going off. if your taking an ssri i personally wouldnt stop. they do pass thru the liver so theoretically it may affect the amount of the drug that is being released into the bloodstream. be carefull if you take a mood stabilizer like depakote. while on you will allow too much of the drug to stay in the body because of reduced liver function.
benzos ( i know xanax) dont pass thru the liver.

Wellbutrin (Bupropion) plays nice with most cycles. It is a fairly mild anti depressant
and works well after a week or so of using it. Also it is not addictive.

Even oil based test passes through the liver but not twice like
the orals. Where are you getting your bad information from?

coming off a long winny cycle is physiologialy depressing, winny effects the central nervous system like no other steroid. im in week two of this hell since i stoppped winny. panic attcks are killing me, chest pain..

i stand corrected. of course xanax passes thru the liver. everything else is true. i misunderstood him about xanax and the liver. i take xanax fore anxiety.my doctor knows i juice and he gives me meds that are light on the liver. the other bad "bad info" was given to me by my psychiatrist.

Well to be honest with you bro Xanax is not very good because it is VERY addictive and not a permanent solution to your problem. It's okay to use for a while to get through your anxiety but I would never take it long term it's just a bandaid.

Good luck with that man I feel for you. Hang in there and look at other alternatives.

Its funny because my boys who do juice get all the side effects. Their hair falls out, they get the massive botches of acne across the back and soldiers, and they typically get depressed or angry. Me on the other hand, I don't repond well to test, I have some sort of tolerence for it. Sometimes I'll be shooting 500-750mgs a week with no change in my physic or strength at all. I never get acne, my hair doesn't fall out, and my demeanor never changes. I guess some people are more sensitive to it than others. I think it has to do with how much their body converts to esterogen also because I haven't had problems with gyno but my friends got pancake nipple, go figure?

Most people i know after taking steroids aka deca sos 250 felt like shit afterwards. Talking about wanting too cry for no reason heh.
