Dick Pound on steroids in hockey...

Dick Pound isn’t surprised by George Laraque’s allegation he played with several NHLers who used steroids and stimulants.

“The only surprise is that someone is actually prepared to say it,” said Pound, who has been saying it for years.

“Many say it privately, but very few are willing to put it between the covers of a book. The real challenge right now is, ‘What is hockey going to do with it?’ Are they going to trash him like baseball did to (Jose) Canseco or say, ‘Alright, there’s a problem — let’s acknowledge it and deal with it.’”

"and i understand what its like to like to take on an orginized religion in this country." dick the crusader? "thats to say, while its an impossible task its a noble one. to rid sports of all performance enhancing drugs PEDS." because whod want to enhance performance in athletics. really. so noble.

"pound has never been able to provide any sort of evidence that NHLers are taking PEDS..." does it matter. if no sport is immune. and non analytical rules are part of the wada code.

"i dont want my kids or my grandchildren to have to become chemical stockpiles to be good at sports." and even if they were. different kids are born with different gifts. not everyone is alike. its what makes the world go round. drugs dont account for record breaking performances. there are so many more factors. not including drugs. they only enhance whats already there. and everyones different. theres more than sports.

so again i ask. how many drugs will they test for. at what cost. and at whos expense. and now for how long.
says dave. " were doing some things better but so are they." put better and better together and we just might come up with the best. or is is wada so concerned about winning.
who is paying for this organization and why. integrity in sport. laughable at best. excellent human performance is applicabe everywhere. dont they get it. the world doesnt end because someone ran faster or longer. jumped higher. hit more balls out of the park. lifted more wieght. its only progessive. with a balance of course. drug abuse to break records only breaks the body. theres is such a thing as drug use. not abuse. which is evident because of wadas cooperation with certain drug companies. which brings everything into question.
which drugs and why. some drugs are called medicine. and some have a therapeutic exemption. use them off label or without a script and youre an asterisk. or worse youre a criminal. this is the trend. and there are so many drugs. so many. some old. some new. some not out yet. some for brain, body, maybe soul. and some drugs are promoted by the companies that developed them. for profits. because research cost money. and there only so many drugs that can be patented. and the process to get them approved is lengthy. with wada working them what should i look for. non performance enhancing drugs. who cares. drugs to cure me when im finally sick. dying . or soon to be dead. thanks for nothing.
