Did my physio injure me?

Hi guys, I currently have a few injuries that I see a physio for. We mainly do deep tissue work focusing on my hip flexors, glutes, adductors and calves + stretching.

2 weeks ago I came in for my regular session. We did the usual except with the addition of some dry needling. I had needles all through my glutes and also my adductors (I am no stranger to this but first time with this particular guy).

After the needles, the plan was to do some stretching and then I would be finished...instead the head physio came in and felt around noticing that my knots were still present so I ended up getting another hours worth of some deep tissue massage and stretching.

The next day I felt amazing, some minor soreness as usual through my glutes/adductors/calves but I felt great EXCEPT I was particularly sore in one area of my glute. I think it might be my piriformis but still trying to work it out.

I didn't think much of it, soreness is normal for me and we did spend a lot of time on this spot. Now 2 weeks later the pain is just as intense and is constantly aching and worsens when bending or squatting. It even aches down my leg sometimes. I also had some visible bruising where the pain is.

I will bring it up at my next session however I'm curious to see what some peoples thoughts are.

Thanks

He going to take it as an insult. He probably felt a node on one of your injection spots? and made the problem temporary worst?

You should see improvement after a while

Yeah I'm not sure how I should word it but realistically like another guy said on here, if he's any good he should leave his ego out of it. I also don't pin my glutes.

Don't respond to ER. Put him on ignore. You'll see from the lack of likes that he's a troll with nothing to contribute here.
