Did you ever see.....

Did you ever see some poor old bastard that can barely walk--like every step takes an eternity and looks painful as fuck and wonder if that's what you're in for? I saw this old dude take about 10 minutes to walk down his driveway to get to his car and then take another 10 just to get in and shut the door. I ask this question because it makes me wonder if after a lifetime of heavy lifting, I'll be as fucked up as that and probably worse. Lord I hope not. My grandfather was a big man and a bull at that; he absolutely loved to work. He had me doing work at his house when I was little when all my friends were out playing (which is probably why I have such a strong work ethic). But the poor guy could barely walk when he hit 67 or 68, and I would have to say that I "abuse" my body worse than he ever did! Oh well... I think I'm gonna slam the GH from age 50 till I die! That's my deep thought for the day

Ok then-- Now take a look at Dave Draper and see what proper nutrition and bodybuilding can leave you like at his 60+ age.

And he still loves it!

No doubt, he looks great. That's what I hope the eventual outcome will be--an enduring physique and, from a biological standpoint, age defiance well into my 60's. All I know is as long as my dick still works, I'll be ok. You can take my mind and body, but if the dick don't work there just isn't a point anymore! :D

We have a 90 year old lady in our gym. She turned 90 like two weeks ago. She does the treadmill and I saw her working out on four or five different machines.

I shit you not we have a blind dude in our gym with the dark glasses and long-ass cane too. He does well, though. And he looks better than most of his sighted counterparts. I would be too paranoid that I would be talking to chicks and have a big booger hangin out of my nose that no one told me about.

Your body is like any other machine, the more it is used and the harder it is abused the more it wears. Heavy weight lifting over long periods of time is not good for your body.

True. The key phrase is "Heavy weight lifting over long periods of time."
Periodize. You have to use it but don't abuse it. Proper nutrition and supplements are just as, if not more, important than exercise.

What about Albert Beckles,, anyone remember him,, he was in all the mags when I was a teenager in the 80's.. was rumored to be in his 50's then,, looked great... I read several years ago that he had cycle cell anemia,,, not sure how he is now..

You fucker... do you have to mess up EVERY thread with this shit?

LMAO...
