How'd court go? Is the case over yet? Probably not, but it could be.

Nah, its far from over, but I wont be back in there for a while. I was just there is observe the Criminal Procedure aspect of it. It was really great fun, especially to hear the defense attorney talk so much shit about his client to the prosecutor at lunch. I didnt really know it was like that. The court system seems very "buddy, buddy" which is sort of scary.

All in all, it was a great experience. I got to be the center of attention for a while during lunch because I was a "hot up-and-comer." I got cards for various firms and such.

Yeah, that's exactly why I hired an out of town lawyer when I needed one. In small towns like this, they are just too friendly and only want to get paid. Fuck the client, I've already gotten his money.

Actually that can work both ways. I went with a local attn. that was friends with the DA. Got the sweetest plea bargain known to man
