Do erections subside much faster as you age?

When young, once you have an erection, it takes a fairly good while to subside, even after orgasm. At age 56 is it typical for erections to very quickly (even on Viagra) when stimulation stops or after orgasm? They stay a long time as long as stimulation continues.
Or could subsiding quickly be due to venous leakage?

cialis for me is bad, it gives me back aches and also the fact that it stays in the system for so long leaves me feeling bad for a couple days at least

viagra works great, sure it has sides, but as part of a big event of sexual activity the good outweighs the bad

i get a terrible stuffy nose from generic Levitra (never tried the brand name L). Similiar sides from generic viagra.

Both definitely lower blood pressure (which can be a good side effect I guess) and that lasts for awjile.

Even 25 mg of viagra or 5 mg of levitra have these effects. Sides or erection quality is not dose dependent in me after i get to 50 mg of viagra or 10 mga of levitra, The maximum dose will allow for another good erection up to 8 hours later.

I wished I didn't need ED drugs but I pretty much resigned myself to the fact that if I want very high quality sex, I need them!!

Sides like what

I was running Cialis EOD, and loving it.
I am also not 65yrs old, though.

Alot of people I know, don't like Viagra.
They rather use Cialis

I like cialis. I take half a pill every now and then and I can get boners at the drop of a hat for 36 to 48 hours after and I've got bottom of the range testosterone levels. No side effects at all at that dose.

don't know answer to your question-- sorry!!

FYI--I experimented with taking big doses of ED drugs a few times. My best experiences was 100 mg of CALVERTA (viagra knockoff from ADC) and 10 mgs of generic Levitra.
Big stiff erections you could hang paint buckets on for several hours (after ejaculation) with proper partner stimulation!!

I don't reccomend more viagra than 100 mgs or mixing and matching ED drugs. I know it won't kill you or give more side effects; it simply doesn't help much more after a max dose. In fact now I am experimenting with lower doses of ED drugs!!


For me relatively small daily doses of levitra seem to work very well!! I guess this is the idea behind daily 5 mgs of cialis!!
