does hgh cause supression of natural hgh

I want to know if using real hgh will cause suppression of your natural hgh. has anyone tested their growth hormone and serum before hgh cycle and after.. what were the results. I ask because I seen a video on enhanced athlete yesterday where the kid was saying that the hgh suppressed his growth hormone serum while his igf level were not much affected. have a look

As with any exogenous drug you put into your body there is a temporary suppression. Same with Test and your natural test levels. Your natural levels will return to normal.

This is interesting article: Exogenous growth hormone inhibits growth hormone-releasing factor-induced growth hormone secretion in normal men

...The GH response to GRF (maximal increment over time 0 value) was significantly inhibited after GH treatment (0-1.3 vs. 2.3-11.2 ng/ml before treatment, P = 0.05), but was not significantly affected by placebo....

Looks like there is "autofeedback mechanism" after all, pretty much as exogenous Testosterone upregulates LH and FSH secretion.

But then... "The impaired pituitary response to GRF may be mediated indirectly through somatomedin, somatostatin, by a direct effect of GH on the pituitary somatotropes, or by all of these mechanisms."

If I interpret this correctly:
  1. Exogenous Growth Hormone administration does suppress natural production by upregulating Growth Hormone Releasing Factor
  2. GFR supression can be mediated through various methods.
Please chime in.

How much does this matter though? If one is taking supraphysiological levels or levels higher than their body produces? I take more Testosterone than my body naturally produces and I'm shut down as such. Doesn't matter though as I am supplementing more than I produce. Why would his be any different?

"...How much does this matter though?..."

Yes, my friend, this is the most important question. Furthermore, not even "how much", but "does this matter" to begin with.

It is well established (medical and otherwise) necessity to follow "cycle" with PCT to avoid unwanted consistences.

I am yet to see anywhere on internet someone asking "I have just finished HGH cycle, what PCT protocol I should follow to restart my natural production?" Does it mean PCT after exogenous HGH administration is not necessary?

People like myself, who go on TRT for sole reason of declining natural T production, do it with the understanding it is for life (or until we have to stop for medical reasons, or we can't afford it, or we don't care anymore). For this (elderly) group, same principal for HGH therapy applies.

Young folks, however, should be concerned. The above study shows HGH natural production is "significantly inhibited" during exogenous HGH administration. Of course, one can argue - "Is it peer reviewed"?, "Is there at least one more?" or "It takes one white crow in the world to prove white crows do exist" principal sufficient? The truth is out there...

Unfortunately, the study does discuss what happens after exogenous HGH administration is discontinued, since the scope is potential treatment of HGH deficient children. I personally would like to see (statistical) evidences about natural production returning to normal levels on it's own and when/if I find one, I will return here to provide web link.

Suppresion is only temporary
AFAIK there are no studies or proven cases of permanent suppression.

Be aware that some joint side-effects may be permanent or hard to reverse.
