Does insurance easily deny coverage for echocardiogram?

Or do they typically cover it without strong justification? Thinking about getting it I can find a nurse practitioner to order it with insurance coverage if I tell them all the right things and omit any history of gear use.

Curious if any of you have run into the issue of insurance denying echocardiogram coverage

My doc did one on a regular check up. I have no idea about insurance but maybe you can just ask your doctor at your next check up. They might do one on the spot. It's not a lengthy or complicated procedure.

My insurance paid for it. As long as the Dr. codes it right and there is a compelling reason for the test insurance covers what their policy allows.

Not sure if you got this taken care of, but I fainted one night. I let my doc know and told her it had never happened before. She sent me for echo and stress test. Insurance didn’t bat an eye. Fully covered

You guys are so US centric. If you were in the UK you wouldn't even have to think about whether socialized care would pay for it

You might have to wait 6 months+ for it, but at least your autopsy would be fully covered by the National Health Service.
