Does marijuana have an immediate impact on prolactin or how is this explained

This is going to seem like an odd topic but I'm don't know another place to discuss this, especially as might relate to hormones. A year ago I started medical marijuana to see if it would help with sleep. I don't know that it did but I was shocked to find that it was unbelievably pro sexual. I vaped girl scout cookies (GSC) so perhaps that is different than regular smoking. While a web search indicates marijuana users have greater sexual frequency, I don't find anyone else who says it has an effect as astounding as what I find. The reviews on leafly.com of strains that are supposed to be pro-sexual do not talk about astounding differences-more like it relaxes you or puts you in the mood type of wishy washy reviews. First, for me, it increases sexual pleasure by what feels like a factor of five. It is truly mind blowing and in a league of its own. It also seems to delay orgasm so I get very long periods where it feels as good as reaching the point of no return but it just goes on and on. You can back off and then get right back on the edge. After several hours, I am exhausted but also feel endorphins like I have never gotten from exercise. Sorry for the long digression.
What I also find is that after orgasm, I do not not experience the normal painful sensitivity and can get hard again in a matter if minutes. Something that never really happened, even 40 years ago. All I can think of is that prolactin release has been suppressed. A find nothing about marijuana and short term prolactin effects on the web.
I would be curious whether any one else has experienced any of this or whether they think prolactin is what is making the difference here.

Overall, the jury is still out on prolactin in conjunction with THC. Studies have shown increases, decreases and no significant changes - it's been hard for research to really pin it down. However, typically chronic users do have lower baseline prolactin levels.

Sounds like you're getting a good response to it though, keep doing it. :)

Maybe that’s why I can run Deca high with no ancillaries, and no sexual issues.

Perhaps! Deca has some other mechanisms of action that are separate from prolactin - how you tolerate other hormones plays into how you tolerate deca. As far as beneficial sexual side effects, nandrolone is probably the top AAS for me... Up until I feel like my brain is beginning to melt from lust.

Eman would appear to be dead on.

The words "you're correct" are seldom wasted on me. :)

I'm with you eman, no deca dick for me. Feel sorry for the guys who are scared to try it, or get that dreaded side.

Thanks for the comments. So it seems possible that lower prolactin can result from THC. That probably explains the lack of refractory period. As more people read this, I will be very curious whether there are others who find the experience unbelievably intense. I am sure it is not a high percent or it would be all anyone talked about and I just don't see that online.

Since there is not much response from anyone with the same reaction, let me ask a different question. How many have had sex on marijuana, especially a high THC vape, and didn't find the experience unusual?

When I grew we smoked nothing but rosin for the most part, and yes sex is totally different, and better. Sex while high is just better overall.
