Does testosterone always make you bloat?

I'm looking for possible recommendations to combat water retention I'm experiencing. I'm started my 6th week of 500mg Test Cyp and 500iu HCG. I've gained 23lbs so far eating about 200cal in excess of maintenance. My clothes are getting tight. I know the majority of this is water, however, is there something I could change to reduce the amount of water I'm taking on? I had bloodwork done recently and all is well there. Estrogen is up but that's expected. I am not taking any AIs.

I am scheduled to start Anavar next week at 40mg/day and am reconsidering for a couple reasons:
1. I've already seen plenty of strength gains
2. I am not interested in carrying more water

Thanks in advance for any rec's.
Wtf? 23 lbs in 5 weeks!! You could have said you were eating 1000 calories over maintenance and I would still be shocked!! I HIGHLY suggest you take a AI ASAP!! The water retention can lead to much worse health problems!

5 weeks, 2 days. Pre-blood to current blood seems ok. No typo, about 200 over per day on average. I'm still vascular in legs, arms and upper chest. Mid-section in where I seem to be holding onto the water.

I just don't want this to turn into 46lbs when I'm done this cycle. More water and drop the 200 extra cals (maybe deficit for a bit) and see if that slows things down.

It’s not the bloodwork I’m worried about. Extreme water retention can lead cardiovascular distress and high blood pressure. Your diet is fine, but your reaction to such a low dose of Testosterone is irregular. You shouldn’t be holding onto that much water.

how do you think to avoid water without AI and why dont use AI ?

@ManK I have/had no sides that would indicate the need for an AI until the recent water retention. I'll consider incorporating a low dose of Arimidex and continue to check BP and weight.

Thanks.

id prefer consider the E2 value instead sides: if e2 is in range or few point out you will never hav water retention... or other estrogenic sides.
a low dose of AI will use a lot of time to solve your water retention... at this point

I typically just run proviron or something like that.
Keeps me relatively dry.
Winnie/Mast or Var do it.

I stay pretty dry even with e2 elevated beyond normal levels.
Infact is subjective...
But why consider win or mast or var safest then a AI ?

I'll likely have an E2 number available in the next day or two. I received part of the panel back today.

My take away to combat water retention: drink more water and start an AI to slightly inhibit the estrogen.

As aromatization occurs, E2 rises which can lead to excess water retention, which can promote high BP.

It’s nice you stay dry bro, that’s not really going to help OP. I have been running 100mg if Var 100mg Winny for the last 5 weeks. Not as dry as you might think. Also low estrogen and crushed estrogen are different. As far as losing gains on low estrogen is it’s complete bro science. Yeah making gains can be more difficult and unpleasant with crushed estrogen due to crunchy joints and lethargy.

I am only a proponent of waiting to use an AI until side’s appear for very experienced users that know exactly how they’ll react at what dosage, with blood work to back it up. With this said hormones can be unpredictable. I have a lot experience off “feels” and I recently got a gnarly gyno flare. It’s fine now because I know how to properly handle it.

I think it’s ridiculous when vets give noobs this advice. Better safe then sorry if your inexperienced.

Results came in sooner than I thought. Pre cyle bloodwork showed an E2 level of 17pg/mL. I am now at 147pg/mL.

I know this is largely an individual thing, but is there a ratio of Testosterone to E2 that could be used as a reference point?

Oh?

that's interesting.
Because every study I've ever read on correlation between estrogen and muscle building disagrees..

Menopause and estrogen affect muscle function
(Showing how Menopause decreases Estrogen, DIRECTLY effecting muscle growth)

Effect of Estrogen on Musculoskeletal Performance and Injury Risk
Showing Dirext correlation between estrogen levels and Injury/muscle growth.

There are many like this, but you get my point.

What you're referring to is something that is touched upon in THIS article.

Increase Muscle Growth by Lowering Estrogen

Esteogen that is not in BALANCE with a man's testosterone, is detrimental to growth.

IF you had said that, I would agree.

Elevated Estroegen is fine..
For SOME people.
This is all personal preference
For example, on cycle @Human_backhoe walks around st 200 E2 and feels great.

Some guys work differently.

Some guys respond differently.

For me, 50mg Proviron is enough to keep my E2 in check at 500mg Testosterone a week.

What's "Irresponsible" is thinking and saying there is a 1 method to fit all.

Bloodwork is essential.
How someone handles their hormones and how they react, is quite personal
Cheers

In YOUR case.
Start hitting up some AI

What kind do you have on hand.

Coupled with your VERY high E2 and your sides, you're going to need some lol.

Start by dosing lightly and pulling more bloods, while watching your water retention.

A friend of mine lost 8 lbs in 1 day because he over reacted eith AI and dropped pretty low

Aromasin. I used 12.5mg today and will take another in 3 days. I’ll keep this dose for a few weeks and get more bloodwork done.

BP was 169/85 at the clinic.

Bro that ain’t gonna cut it. What are you afraid of? I would taken 50mg of aromasin right now! Then 12.5 every day for the next week. Then 12.5 mg eod. Your asking for gyno man.

Your concern for me earlier was high BP due to water retention. Now gyno? Maybe it’s early, but I have no symptoms of it. In any case, I’ll up the AI on your rec.
Thanks.
