does your SO lift?

Just wondering how many of you have your significant others as your training partners? Did you get him/her into it?

No.. She's just not into it, still looks great though..

Not sure how much me pushing her in the gym would add to the health of our marriage either.. We went jogging together once (her 3rd time ever jogging by the way), no good...
 
Mine is the best training partner I've ever had. She was a typical "cardio queen" who did an occasional push-up or set of kickbacks, but she has went through an epic transformation over the last year and a half. She has shed about 40 lbs of fat (she was a big girl, but oh well I love her[emoji41]) while adding some decent mass to her frame. I think the biggest difference about training with a female vs a good buddy is that woman don't have the ego issues that men do. Plus she is a positive force to be around.

She doesn't have to train with me but needs to live the lifestyle

this. i could give a fuck if my girl is training with me or asking for help planning a workout split, but if shes unconscious to the sacrifices necessary to excel in health/fitness then its not gonna work. she does spin/yoga about 2x a week each and occasional lifting, keeps a healthy diet and knows not to joke around with me if i havent eaten in 3 hours.
 
We have worked together, but I got tired of her complaining and whining every time I suggested something or answered her workout questions. Hired a trainer for her about 5 years ago, She goes to the gym with her sister and I work out at home. Worked at best for us as both of us are hardheaded about certain things.
 
Maybe I'm just different here, but the gym is MY TIME. I don't like training with women at all, and I don't care how good they look. When it's gym time it's gym time, I don't need any estrogen floating around near me. My wife doesn't work out, but she is naturally smaller, 5'1" and 98 lbs. She is a great mom, and keeps the house clean, laundry washed, dishes done. I used to always wish she would work out and eat right, but then I got to thinking that there are plenty of women who do but may not have the other qualities I'm looking for. They may want to go clubbing all the time, be shitty mothers, attention whores, or flirts.
 
Mine does and really I love working out with her. Sometimes she works out with me, sometimes she does this Jamie Eason thing, but idc. It Works for her.
For me, I push myself to look studly when around her. She motivates me on days I don't want to go and vise versa. And it's always cool to have the attention of one of the hottest chicks in the gym. :)
 
My misses tired training with me, she trained for about a month with me and then quit. She felt she was putting size on which she has a major phobia of-she's a size 6 petite lady. I told her if she was getting bigger after a month of training she should be heading onto the olympia stage with those genetics lol I kinda liked when she was training with me.

Nowadays i prefer to train on my own in my home gym, can't be bothered with other people. I can focus on what I'm doing uninterrupted.

My misses is convinced she got bigger after a month of training (with pathetic amount of calories) really pisses me off about it... as the female body is just not capable of putting on mass in short periods of time and she is defiant that she did lol . I liked training with her(kinda - she talked a lot sometimes lol) but i guess its my thing not her's and I'm cool with that.
 
My Wife has always done her own thing. 8minute abs, buns, thighs and so on. I tried to do them with her and realized I'm more of a low rep, heavy weight, no cardio kind of guy, lol. By the time we got to the end of the last video I was beat. But it works for her. She has mentioned working out with me when I get my home gym set up. But we will have to see.
 
My wife has been my training partner for the past 6 months its been the best for our relationship being there for each other the push and struggle. She now understands the price and time and dedication it takes to do bb. She is so on board now that she wants to do physic. And she is looking finer and finer every month sure she cant spot me but when I need it I just ask one of the trainers to give me a hand. But she understands that some days I will do my own thing. But I given her enough knowledge that she knows what to do on her own when need be.
 
We started lifting together, but her trips to the gym became more and more sporadic before she finally dropped her membership. She re-joined twice, but the latest stint only lasted 3 months and devolved into an affair with the treadmill. It didn't help that during her first year people at work started calling her "Guns."
