Donating Blood, Hematocrit, and Morality

For those of us who have high Hematocrit levels, donating blood is the easiest and fastest way to get those levels down.

Having said that, we need to keep in mind that our blood will be going to those who are sick, weak, and in need of help. It would be highly immoral to put our selfish needs ahead of those that will be getting our blood.

There is a questionnaire we all fill out and if we have used needles to inject drugs we are supposed to not contribute blood. The concern here, I believe, is the possibility that IV drug users have shared dirty needles. I have never shared a needle, and I am sure that goes for all who are on this forum.

There is still one question, however, Testosterone is in all blood, and is not a hazard (correct me if I am wrong, I am pretty sure I am right). But what about Test derivatives, like EQ, Deca, Tren, etc. Do these drugs present a hazard for the recipients of our blood? Should we only donate when we have been off everything for a certain period of time?

I would like to keep donating blood, but want to be 100% sure that my blood would never be a hazard for its eventual recipient. I could not live with myself if I hurt anyone.

Probably best to ask the place where you plan on donating. Call them up and get their policy.

I know Bonfils tests every unit of blood donated in my state.

They will all say no, if the needle was not for a prescribed injection. The question is, if we take the needle out of the equation, can, say Deca, or EQ in the blood harm recipients?

You really have no idea what you are injecting when its an UGL so I would say just have them pull the blood and dispose of it. A doc can write a script for that if you have high Hematocrit.

If you are concerned about the recipient, do not lie on the form you fill out. If it really was about "IV drug users have shared dirty needles" that would be the question then right? They specifically ask about steroids multiple times from the one I took. Like heavyiron says a doctor can write a script for it if you need it, but that costs money and is a little more of a hassle. After I donated my blood I called them after I left saying that my answers were false. Are we wasting their time? Yes, but they get paid by the hour anyway :)

I like my high hematocrit levels and besides,
I can't donate blood anyway... Too many vaccines from the military.

I have shit in my blood, that doesn't even have names yet

That would imply that the steroids themselves can cause harm, yes?

The AAS in blood would probably help the recipients, no? besides that would be the only dose they would get and then the half lives of them would come into play.

I wouldn't give blood while using AAS
or even a while after without getting
a full blood test of everything including Hep C
which can easily be received from using UG products.
Raised liver enzymes should be noticed with this though.

If wanting to lower Hematocrit... don't know why but
draw your own blood and chuck it or sell it to a vampire

Once the AAS hits the blood, the ester is removed so
the halflife would be not much at all for them.

I would never take a transfusion from stored blood I
didn't know who it even came from...
Not after reading this shit here

Last time I gave blood which was years ago, the last thing they did after they took the blood was usher me into a private booth where I was given 2 barcoded stickers. One was to indicate there was no concern about the blood. The other indicated there might be something wrong. The blood would be tested either way, but would be discarded if I put the anonymous "red flag" on the paper work. Do they not still do that?

OK, lets put a bit finer point on things: I just started, but otherwise have not done a cycle in more than 7 years. I am on TRT, however.

So lets say I use Test, EQ, Deca, Masteron and Anavar for 10 weeks. I then go back to replacement for 3 months, and then take a month off doing pct.

Is there any possibility that my blood could cause anyone harm?

PS, I like your new Avatar, Manwhore.

Pericles, answer the questionnaire truthfully and let the doctors deduce if your blood can cause harm or not. That is the reason for why they ask the questions... It's not your decision, it's theirs. What is the reasoning behind lying and trying to act upon your own knowledge to determine whether it may cause harm or not?

You are missing the point: I am not going to ask the Nurses/Docs, because if I can cause harm, I am not going to go to the facility in the first place.

In my area, they give you a number to call to cancel if you happen to get flu-like symptoms. Call them and say you came down with the flu and they'll discard your blood. Works everytime.

There are questions on there if you have injected steroids so if you answer truthfully you won't be able to donate.

Or you can donate but make sure you call them and tell them not to use it. It's what I did. I like the flu thing, gonna use that next time.

I don't give regularly like should. But when I run EQ I make sure that I do. I'm no Dr. but I do not believe aas should be an issue. There are steroids in a lot of the meat we eat as well.
If you're that concerned(or just want to save time) you might consider doing it yourself.I know a group of guys that get together and have a bloodletting party. Phlebotomy is the proper term I believe. Just make sure you have someone present if you decide to give it a go....you could pass out and pass on.

Thanks, everyone. Based on the info here, I am not going to donate.

I will, however, see if my TRT Doc will write me a script for a therapeutic phlebotomy.
