Not entirely PL related, but sort of... I just got the PreQual letter from the bank for the go ahead on our second house that we’re looking to purchase (currently living in our duplex with tenants upstairs).

I say it’s sort of PL related because I’ve always wanted to start a home gym, and this will allow me to do that, assuming negotiations go as planned. The wife and I are definitely stoked.

humble brag, I guess...But I’m ecstatic over here.

Congratulations man.
It's good to have your own space!
Not to mention the cashflow from renting out the place you are currently living

Next step is to tell the wife that you're taking the garage for deadlifts!
lol

Got a hell of a yard
That’s what I first noticed. I can finally shoot my bow without having to go somewhere.

Thanks brother! I already told her I’m converting the entire basement to a gym, lol. That door for the garage leads right to the basement, as well.

I hate when outside factors effect training. Had to try to hit the gym with no sleep.. 5 plates might as well have been 9 today.

I cut it off there. Just didn’t have any energy in me. At least I did *something* I suppose.

We all have those days.... believe it or not sometimes it's better to go in do the main lift and get out and other times skip all together. There is a greater chance of injury when tired and fatigued..

That’s 100% man. I had to auto regulate today and just accept that my body couldn’t handle it. I could’ve probably done some light accessories, but I decided to just go rest...Injury isn’t something I’m too fond of, lol.

Two things I hate about training....... Injury and Skipping it lol

If I’m shooting for fun, 300-600. Around hunting season I’ll keep it from 100-200 because the forests are thick here, and that’s the max range I’d be shooting
Nice! There is something very satisfying about the delay from the trigger until you hear the sound of hitting a target at 600. Sounds like fun, would be cool to go hunting. I haven't been yet here in California.

I’ve only shot out that far a handful of times. It’s kinda difficult to find a decent field that’s flat for that long around here, lol. It’s mostly in the 3-4 range... you’re right, it’s definitely satisfying though.

as for hunting, I can’t get enough. Admittedly, I haven’t been out in 3 years due to other obligations that always arise during the season, but I’m itching to go next year. I don’t shoot rifle too much anymore though, I’m more into bow hunting now—much much bigger challenge, and 100x more satisfying.

are the CA regulations a pain? Or you just live in so cal? I heard Nor Cal was great for hunting.

Today was an off day, so I followed up yesterday’s training and finished it up.

Volume + Dynamic block starts today for a 3 week block, then I’ll switch out the DE day for 3 weeks of Max Effort + volume. I’m gonna try it this way for a few months and see how my body responds to the volume, while still making sure my speed + max effort work stays relatively consistent. Trying to do everything I can, short of OD’ing on massive amounts of AAS, to see some growth. I’m trying to focus primarily on my triceps during these volume days. I’ll be switching between floor presses, CG bench and CG incline bench or Slingshot bench to overload the tris.
