LOL...I was actually very offended by a couple of those. Get a clue Manuel.

Go to the About Bush page on that site and see who they cite for information. Its jagoffs like Michael Moore. Hes so liberal that hes WAY left of Ted Kennedy.

5. Bush's tax cuts only benefit the rich.

I disagree, but in reality my response is "No shit!" Why shouldnt the wealthy benefit most from it? By a LOOOONG stretch, they pay the most taxes - to the tune of the top 1% (those earning $292k+) paying 34% of all income tax revenue and the top 5% ($128k+) paying 53%. The top 10% ($93k+) pay 65% and the top 25% ($56k+) paying 83% (all #s are for 2001). This info comes from www.taxfoundation.org/prtopincometable.html

3. Bush is underfunding education.

From a Congressman John B. Larson's office (D-CT)... "Overall, the GOP bill provides the smallest dollar increase for education." http://www.house.gov/larson/pr_030710.htm

Wait a minute, I thought spending was cut? Now Im really confused. Oh yeah, it wasnt cut, it just wasnt increased as much as anticipated. Thats a big freakin difference!

Hey! Stop bashing the liberals! You are just like the campaigns, liberals aren't all bad. At least I think I am not bad, I think I am pretty rational actually~Sensational

I would like to welcome Howard Dean aka Manuel Hung to meso. Your getting ahead of yourself, your not even going to get the nomination.

I hope those liberals who support gay marriage have gay kids.

Have a nice day

Sens, I cant stand liberals like Kennedy, Kerry and the such. From what you have stated about your own beliefs, I find you to be much more centrist/moderate than most democrats.

I do agree that politics is all about who can throw the most mud. Right now the problem is that the entire focus is on the Dem candidates, so all the news is heavily slanted towards their views. Not that the mudslinging will get any better in a few more months, but at least then both sides are represented.

BTW, did anyone else see this illegal gay marriage day in San Fran? Totally against CA law, yet a judge decided not to block it. Thats the kind of judges we need out of power. Instead of following the law, they make their own.

I don't care if gay's want to be together, that is their choice; however, I believe marriage to be a sacred union between and man and a woman, not two dicks.

BTW, Kennedy is the biggest assclown in the world. He forms his opinions on not having opinions, which when you boil it down, makes him a tool. However(and bear with me here), I believe that politicians should be pawns of the general populous, therefore representing a true representative democracy. Sadly, Kennedy just dances on the strings of the powerful lobbiests(sp?).

I think the Bush supporters love how convicted he is on certain issues, which in and of itself is fine. But sometimes I think he is too proud to admit that he could be wrong. I would respect the hell out of him if he said something to the effect of: "unilaterally(virtually in manpower at least) attacking Iraq was probably a mistake, while we ousted a horrible dictator and have the intent to instill democracy, our mode and method were flawed. We were not prepared for postwar Iraq, and I will make every effort to correct that." I would poo my pants and vote for him in a heartbeat. I see hubris as one of the most dangerous flaws in a leader, and I think humility is arguably the best quality. Issues aside, that is what I want to see represented by the leader of the most powerful nation in the world.

I probably am more centrist in my opinions. However, as in this thread, people really are gay bashing. Do I think being gay is wrong? Absolutely! But it is really none of my business what they do with their lives. As my parents always told me "seperate the sin from the sinner sensational(different name)." I have done some bad things in my life, and really, God looks at it all the same. So why shouldn't I? Granted that is a hard task, but it is one we as a society should strive for.

How many gay individuals have you met that haven't had trauma in their life? It seems like they have a cycle of abuse in their lives. If society would help break that cycle (society being a collection of individuals and not tax dollars lol) who knows where we would be. Time to stop talking now, because I just said some pretty fruity hippy stuff and will probably get flamed lol~Sensational

You mention trauma in the lives of gays. I have heard it mentioned that a very high percentage of gay guys were either emotionally or physically abused by their fathers. Whether that someone leads one to a gay lifestyle, by attempting to replicate a loving father figure that was not apparent in their life, I really have no idea. IIRC, the percentage was well over 60%.

I agree with you about gays. I believe it is wrong and repugnant, but what people do in their house is their business. I just dont want to see it. If they want a civil union or something like that, go for it. But I do not think it should legally be called a marriage.

Didnt Kerry say that he was for marriage as man and woman only? If so, then why did he vote against the marriage protection act from...1996 or whatever year?

I was very apathetic about politics in 1996, I was only 12 years old. I will look into him closely before I vote that is for sure.

BTW, I hate boisterous drunks that are loud and obnoxious just for attention. I was at a party tonight and it was getting on my nerves. Or maybe I am easily rattled~Sensational

Again fucknuts get past the third chapter in your econ 101 macro book that you read at fresno state....and do little history/reading about the World Bank and IMF.....u may learn a little.

I like ur fantasy about the weak dollar and foreign investment.....what an uneducated bafoon! Read young man, read, it is not to late to overcome a poor education!

Do you young kids even know what liberalism is? todays meaning is a socialist/communist run government. 40 years ago it meant being opened minded, it doesn't have the same meaning today.

For example, JFK was a Dem. 44years ago, today he would be considered a republican. he was for a lower taxes and a strong military.

Now his brother Ted. is a liberal. big government big taxes (which he loves spending) and fuck the military.
