I have just a few songs i want to download, but i'm not sure if i should. Should i worry about getting caught,if not, what download program do you guys use?

Hey amigo....check out http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml

I think the basic version is free but I upgraded to the pro version. Been using it for almost 2 years and no problems. Also download speeds are really fast when you are swapping with someone who has dsl/cable/T1. Pc mag rated this the best last year. Check it out........Peace..Vegas

I use Mirc, gotta be a nerd to figure out how to use it, I also use kazaa lite.

i also use Kazaa Lite....lots of music, no pop-ups, etc! You wont have any problems with getting caught as long as you dont share the files you have. There is an option that lets you turn on/off your ability to share files. Download wutever u want, just dont share em with other people. The people who are getting in trouble for this stuff are the ones who have thousands upon thousands of music files and are sharing them with everyone. Another good one is Bearshare and so is blubster.

I use Kazza Lite and you shouldnt have to worry as they are after the people with the large music librarys.

I use grokster and winmx and don't really have no problems with either. great download speeds and connections.

I still like imesh even with the pop ups, cause there are alot of good rare stuff and most people dont care to share and its simple to use. www.imesh.com

If no one is going to share, then how are we going to be getting music? Why would the people that are sharing only get in trouble. If i am downloading it,then i am stealing according to the music industry retarts

I use emule. You use peer gaurdians block list which blocks all those ips that the riaa uses. Get it at http://www.sharereactor.com/ Its in the upper right hand corner and then you can download anything on the sharereactor site. It is awesome. I have used this for years with no problems.

You still share with Kaaza lite its just that no one thinks you are and thus that you are a leech. p2p users cant see into your shared folder but niether can the riaa.

Youll notice that your participation level is maxed out so you get sources before regular Kaaza users.

Here you go ......the following will tell you about error 1628 and how to correct it..... Vegas

Error 1628: Failed to complete installation.Answer:
Error 1628 is an InstallShield error. It indicates you may not have sufficient permissions to install this software on your machine. This error can also indicate a file conflict but it is more likely to be a permission issue.

To resolve this issue:
* First check the Microsoft Windows taskbar to be sure that only one version of the installer is listed. If more than one InstallShield program is listed, you may have inadvertently started the installation twice. Close all of the InstallShield applications, restart your computer, and then try again.
* If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, or NT, be sure that you have sufficient administrator permissions to install software. Jaws PDF Editor requires that you be logged in with administrative privileges to install the software. Check with your system administrator or refer to Windows Help for additional assistance.
* If the error persists, try installing the software in Safe Mode.

O man i don't have time to look at all this,i gotta take a shower, but i'll check it tomorrow. I downloaded UMMM wait... IMEASH and im downloading now,but if another program is better i'll use it. Also,i download lots of music,i mean like 15 at one time easy so i think it's better i find the best program so i can't be traced. My friend tells me that they can always find my MAC addy even if they can't trace me with IP addy. What do you think about this? Gotta go but i'll check tomorrow because i really want to start downloading again. later and thanks

i use kazza lite. As long as i keep my shared folder relatively clean I should be fine, correct? I just move the songs out of my shared folder and into a music folder. Is that what I should be doing?
