Normals are based on "average" population of 18-90 years old males . There are a lot of variables to consider.
Yep and that's why accredited labs use what are called AGE and SEX related REFERENCE RANGES. Which means 98.8% of individuals (AKA the 3rd standard deviation) would have a value within the stated range provided by a particular lab, using their technology and methodology!
Thus for all intents and purposes that's what the "WNL" benchmark means and how such a comment should be interpreted on a scientific basis.
