Dropset And SuperSet together idea

Just wondering (only to be used during cycling) if this is a good idea. For example, in a regular super set we got

bicep curls superset with triceps push-down.

I do set of bicep curl to 8 reps, then drop the weights to get another 7-8 reps out of it. And as soon as I am finished, I do triceps push-down set of 8 reps, then drop weight and do another 7-8 reps. And thats one superset.
After a minute of rest, repeat the set 3-4 or whatever times ur plan calls for.

Let me know your opinion

For me I love this, I do workouts like this very often, for both bi's and tri's and also chest and back. I might do 225 on flat bench for 8 reps, then drop to 185 and blow out 6-8 more reps then immediately just grab the bar with 185 and bust out 10 reps bent over rows and then drop to 135 and do ten more. Big fan personally.

Well, you still might be doing something stupid hahahhaha. this is just how I like to do it and it works for me. Give it a try and see how it goes, everyone responds to something different so it might work for you too, might not.

I would just do it once. For the absolutely last set of your workout. But change it up. Don't always do this is what I mean. You don't want to do it for all your sets.

I hear ya, sometimes I'll just do a heavier weight for a couple less reps, and every once in a blue moon I'll drop the weight and go for some higher reps just so my body doesn't get too used to anything. I do, however, do supersets when I can. It just helps me keep my workouts a little bit more time efficient as my schedule revolves around me having to take the bus and when I have to be at work.

@insaiyan93 , I respect the dedication you have shown to keep working out, specially since you depend on bus which make things even harder. SO many people don't realize, bodybuilding is one of the best ways to instill persistence and iron will in the individual.

Well I appreciate that, but it's worth it ya know? Lifting is enjoyable for me, keeps me strong physically and mentally, it's my couple hours everyday where I get to just go zone out and focus on one thing, and that's just lifting some heavy ass weight haha.

It definitely does help build good habits though. I'm not lazy by any means, but I'm generally not a morning person, but if I'm not up by 7:00 and catching the bus at 8:30 my workouts get rushed and that's not enjoyable so it's definitely helped me get my sleep.pattern straightened out.

I gotta agree with iaminvuctus, I train that way even without being on. My pops has trained that way his whole life, he has been using AAS for the past 10-12 years now, but before that he was natural and trained that everyday and saw great results, as have i. And he has never been what you would call weak, he was and still is a 400+lb bencher.

Yeah i said this on another thread but i really think people are selling themselves short in terms of recovery and the whole overtraining bullish. I see a lot of people train a bodypart only once per week or do very limited sets etc. because they are worried about "overtraining."

I agree, I do then once a week thing except for biceps I do twice, and I squat and deadlift twice a week, just cuz it fits into my schedule but my workouts are pretty intense. Always pretty damn heavy, always a fair bit of volume, and I have personally never felt like I "overtrained".

If it works for you go for it. I've done it before and still do it every now and than. the main point is to do whatever workout with the proper form and get the most out of every set.
