Dutasteride frontload

if you crash your dht like this youre gonna be so much more likely to develop gyno/mood disorder as pickle rick said. just wait lol
front loading dut lmaoooo
I got the message, i'm not frontloading. I don't really see much of a correlation between dut and gyno tho?

Dut starts working quickly even if you don’t saturate serum levels immediately. It’s weird like that, there is a good Haircafe video on it somewhere that explains why.

Seems like a waste to front load, if you’re paranoid and wanna be fully covered just take fin for a few weeks along with your dut until you’re at steady state. When I switched I didn’t even bother and didn’t notice any shedding but then my AGA is very minor.

youre more likely to experience estrogen sides when your estrogen to dht ratio is off. if you crash DHT, then gyno/other estrogen sides are much more likely to occur.
Same is true for the inverse - if your estrogen is crashed youre more likely to have DHT sides (hairloss, prostate issues xyz).

This is my understanding and would love to be corrected by a vet if wrong!

Estrogen binds to receptors in male breast tissue → activates growth.

Normally, DHT competes with this effect by binding to androgen receptors that suppress estrogenic stimulation.

Low DHT = unchecked estrogen action → tissue growth and tenderness.

DHT prevents estrogen from causing breast growth.

Ok, i wasn't aware of that, my estrogen is quite low right now anyways, so don't need to worry about it yet.. Does this really have a significant Impact tho, tons of people have been on dutasteride for ages and didn't get gyno.

Because it doesn’t have any benefits. Hair loss, loss of elastin, upregulation of sebaceous glands (meaning acne). It’s not anabolic (metabolised by 3-alpha-hydroxysteroid reductase in muscle tissue (non-androgenic tissue)). There isn’t a good reason to have it circulating your body at all.

Been on 2.5mg Dut for over a year. No issues at all. No regrets being on. I knew sides were an meme by r/tressless schizos so I didn’t bother with 0.5mg. 2.5mg vs 0.5mg serum levels are practically the same anyway (nuked), just scalp DHT there’s an extra 30% suppression.
.5 mg for 3 years for me and no sides to speak of. I take it mainly for prostrate protection, but my full head of hair is an added benefit.
