I have supplements i use that do contain maltodextrin, but if i do use them, it is sparingly, and usually only after training when i do want to elicit an insulin spike. Each to their own , i just wouldn't be taking a shake twice or three times a day where malto is high on the ingredient list.

I think you are misunderstanding the mechanic of insulin release you add a bunch of protein and fat to your maltodextrin and it will delay the insulin release John Meadows explained it for why eat fat preworkout and we have an entire thread on IIFYM where that had been talked about. I personally add dextrose to my protein shakes with whole milk while oats blended would be fine they definitely bloat you a lot more due to fiber which wouldn't be ideal. I eat oat pancakes with cottage cheese which are an awesome choice for breakfast imo but preworkout I would limit any bloat and just drink 60g of dextrose 60g protein and a total of 15g fat with maybe a banana to add potassium too. I know Milos Sarcev likes dextrose a lot, in an interview on JayCutlerTV he explained that he changed mind from the "Vitargo" to just plain dextrose with your drink.
