NO brainer people need to be eating more animal fat its good for the hormones. Going back to way nature intended us will help to heal. Its not that rocket science on how to rebalance the body.. Its more patient compliance thats the issue. I have one of the best designed eating plans on earth properly calibrated to my individual needs. It does not do a damn thing if you can not absorb LOL. One may look healthy as horse on the outside but cellular its a whole different ball game..
never ate raw eggs and have no intention of starting now.
Eggs, yolk + white was a staple of my diet for 30+ years. I eat 4 eggs/day (but only 2 yolks) and usually scrample them. My total cholesterol <170 and Ihave a pretty good hdl/ldl ratio. My HDL stays about 42-50 and I have tred about everything to increase it but it doesn't move much despite 1 hr of hard cardio, etc.
I believe that humans evolved with a fairly high amount of fat in their diet.. They also worked very hard just to stay alive. I am convinced that a fairly high fat diet rich in veggies and fruit is what primitive humans ate and that is what we should eat!!! I also believe that humans need to exercise daily. How much cardio and strength conditioning/day is the question??
If you are one of the unlucky ones (cholesterol problems) then you really need to reduce or eliminate high cholesterol foods.
Most of us should be eating meat/eggs very regularly!!! Omlette anyone???![]()
Egg Whites from Eggology: 100% Fresh, Pure Liquid Egg Whites
i consume 20 to 30+ egg whites a day both raw and cooked and have for years with no issue. i am a ovo-lacto vegetarian which means i eat eggs of course and dairy but i do limit the dairy. 42 years old 6' 240lbs. have have no problem getting over 250 when bulking. doctor says im healthy as a horse.
1) By only eating the white of the egg you are losing ALL of the nutrients contained in the yolk
i stay away from the yolks because i have a family history of high cholesterol.
Take a look at this table

2) Have you had blood tests to determine your essential fatty acid ratios? Have you had a VAP and/or a PLAC test?
i would have to ask my doc but my last blood work was good (about 40 days ago) everything was in normal range.

3) What exactly does your doctor mean by "healthy as a horse"
BP is always around 120/70ish resting heart rate is usually between 60 an 65, blood work always comes back good, and i am pretty lucky when it comes to avoiding the cold and flu.
4) FWIW - I don't believe that anyone should "bulk up". My feeling is that excess weight increases the amount of visceral fat - that fat that surrounds the internal organs - which is the most dangerous fat to have. Visceral fat is harder to lose than subcutaneous fat because it is more deeply embedded in the body's tissues. Visceral fat is only measured accurately by an imaging machine that can see how much of the abdomen is made up of visceral fat. A person may be within a healthy weight range, but still have too much intra-abdominal fat around the internal organs.
i can definitely respect that school of thought and it is also something i should seriously consider being 42 and still training hard. i have not had any imaging done but when i had my blood work done he also checked my BMI which was 12.4 but it was with some little handheld device like a video game controller, i can not attest to its accuracy but was glad it was under 20.
5) l also believe that man is designed to be a meat eater - not factory farm produced meat but grass fed organic meat and deep cold water fish (salmon, tuna, sardines, trout, etc.)
im not gonna say you are wrong or right because i have no idea. i have heard many different arguments for both but i certainly have no problem with strength or size being a non meat eater.
6) Why did you decide to become a lacto-ovo vegetarian?
I'm thinking of switching from eating cooked eggs (omelets) to eating raw eggs

Benefits of eating raw meat
Eating Raw Meat
Based on several research studies, and the experience of people who have taken to eating raw meat, the following benefits have been discovered:
Studies have shown that the body digests only raw food thoroughly, not cooked food that produces carcinogenic toxins. These toxins are known to have several side effects on the body.
Several people have found that switching to a raw meat diet, has given them better health, and have reversed diseases that they were severely affected by.
Research has also shown that people who suffer from vomit and diarrhea are the ones who eat cooked food, and not raw food. Apparently, the microbes and pathogens that cause food poisoning are found in the environment, and not in the food itself. This is how perhaps, those who have eaten raw meat may have suffered from food poisoning.
Eating raw meat that is free-range makes it less prone to the development of harmful bacteria such as E.coli and salmonella. This means, the risk of developing disease from such dangerous bacteria is greatly reduced.
According to a research, the amount of E.coli in such meat that is grass-fed is minimal. This amount cannot survive in the human system, and is easily eliminated from the body.
Raw meat that is grass fed, and not grain fed, also has high quantities of vitamins, minerals and Omega-3 fatty acids.
While eating raw meat diet, you have to ensure that the source you purchase it from is a good, hygienic one. Grocery bought meat will never be safe, if eaten raw. Make sure that you acquaint yourself with a local raw meat supplier, identify his sources, and then start with eating raw meat.

As intelligent as you are, I really hope you're still not considering this.
not against anyone eating raw meat if you choose, if it has worked for you why stop. just throwing out there that our digestive tract is many times longer than those of natural meat eaters. if we evolved to truly be meat eaters why is our digestive tract so much longer than that of meat eaters many times our size? i dont pretend to know why, just throwin it out there.
Yea, and thats why so many of us are born with those nice shiny incisors... I am sorry. I just dont recall the last time I looked out in a wheat field and remarked at how tantilizing those grains looked.... LOL Actually we are also unique as we were also given some nice molars for grinding grass. I must say I do love a good pot of collards.... SOAKED IN PIG FAT>>>>[

we got canines too!!!! they are for ????????
Human canines are very underdeveloped, even when compared to totally or mostly vegetarian monkey species. If us having small canines is an argument for being meat eaters, it is a weak one.
