Educate Me Please

Hi,
Right, respect to all you guys, I'm after a little help here... i'm relatively new to resistance training, and i was wondering if any of you could give me any advice. I'm not a small lad at 6'4" and about 220lbs (more fat than muscle) but i don't put on muscle to quickly and I want results fast... I know that it takes dedication, comitment and focus, and i don't want to shortcut to a good physique. I'm willing to put the effort in 110% but i don't really know how to go about it.

Please give a guy some guidance...

Wow, huge question with many variables. First off welcome to the board. My advice is to hang around the training forum, nutrition forum and read, read, read. Use the search feature before you ask the most basic questions, much has already been answered. The two most important things is diet and routine. I would answer you more specifically but the answers you need would take a very long time to address and I would still leave much out. Educating yourself is the best way to get started.

I would recomend reading the training and nutrition forums thoroughly and also checking out some of the articles at t-mag.com. When you start feeling overwhelmed with information, come back and post some more specific questions. Good luck bro and congrats on taking the 1st steps at changing your physique.

It depends on what you mean by "new to resistance training" but I'll second what THL and NDK said. Between the 3 of us we probably have 50-60 years of training and anabolic experience so I don't think you'll get any better advice than what you've gotten.
