I keep getting email notifications about threads I've posted in or creating. I've turned them off in my settings and saved settings (numerous times) but I'm still getting emailed. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ya. In "preferences" I un-selected the email box. I don't get them for every notification. It's weird. And actually today I didn't get any (had three notifications but no emails) so maybe it worked itself out.
Mark one as spam, the rest will follow
