ENORMOUS difference in kidney values when using cystatin C vs the standard BUN + Creatinine

My BUN and creatinine always seem to be creeping up over the last 4 years since I've been on TRT and cycling (I'm not huge by any means) and it concerned me. I just had a panel run and my numbers are wildly different depending on the test. I also take 5g creatine per day.

BUN 29 (6-24 lab range)
Creatinine 1.55 (.76-1.27)
egfr 57 (sub 59 is low)

Now w/cystatin C

Cystatin C .68 (.6-1) lower is better
egfr 122!!!!!!

It's mind blowing to me that one kidney function test that is used overwhelmingly by doctors shows my egfr just under normal and the cystatin C test shows my egfr thru the roof w/pristine kidney function. Have any of you seen such a huge difference in your own bloods?

I just saw a video the other day saying the Cystatin/egfr test is the better one to get. And the fast Googling I just did said it's more arcuate because it's not influenced by diet, exercise, ect.
