Anyone have any experience with inj. L Carnitine? Was it effective and worth the money? Was it sub q or intra muscular?

L Carnitine is much more effective when injected v.s. taking the oral version. Instead of buying the oral for performance, i'd rather go with what works.

Thanks fellas

I was looking into injectable Amino's they sell them for horses cheaper got some great mixes for nitric oxide huge bottles they even had glutamine I would love to know more as well

Waste of money unless you happen to be a vegan, vegetarian, or just don't eat a lot of meat.

Injectable is not more effective than oral, it simply has a higher bioavailability rate. This means it's still ineffective for fat loss unless you're deficient in carnitine.

Here's a good overview of carnitine

Carnitine alone (IV or oral) is ineffective because it has repeatedly failed to increase muscle carnitine levels.

You need to stack it with slin (IV) or do a 4-6 months 2x daily 80 grams of high insulinogenic carbs + carnitine protocol to increase muscle carnitine content. Once muscle carnitine levels are raised (pretty much acutely with slin or months orally) you can expect some very interesting effects:

Chronic oral ingestion of L-carnitine and carbohydrate increases muscle carnitine content and alters muscle fuel metabolism during exercise in humans. - PubMed - NCBI
Insulin stimulates L-carnitine accumulation in human skeletal muscle. - PubMed - NCBI
Skeletal muscle carnitine loading increases energy expenditure, modulates fuel metabolism gene networks and prevents body fat accumulation in humans. - PubMed - NCBI

Too bad these studies are widely ignored in the bodybuilding community. It's one of the most promising supplement protocols of the last 2 decades.
