Experiences with Tracking not updating???

Have mail coming from China to US and the tracking # hasn't updated since being processed through outgoing facility there which was the beginning of November. Anyone have any experiences like this. Not to be rude but I'm not looking for hearsay answers only people with actual experiences with said situation. Thank you for your time

I've had that happen and it never updated and was at my door in 2 weeks. Tracking sucks sometimes. If its a reliable source just sit back and relax and dont think about it constantly.

Sometimes they never update and the packs at your door. Sometimes they dont update til the day or two before your pack comes. Hit or miss i guess.

100% on this.

I have done a lot of shopping on eBay and it seems a lot of packages leave the Asian country of origin and the tracking stalls until it is processed in the destination country. I have had packages arrive just hours after checking tracking (that stated the package was in no where land) and then checked the tracking to see it updated to arrived at destination.

Can probably expect to see a lot more of this with the influx of packages with the upcoming holiday season lasting into the New Year. I'm hoping this keeps customs busy n prevents more siezures.

Can't believe how many people on here are just so into tracking a package of illegal drugs coming to their house. Its fucking unreal.

Because you want to be home to sign for it. Its not fun having to pick it up in the post office. And if you miss the package and your mail man never puts that slip of paper to pick it up then it gets sent back.

I don't mind picking it up from the post office if it means my IP isn't linked to checking the pack. And yeah, you can always get the source to check the tracking for you if you email em. I wouldn't be taking time off work just for a pack anyway. I duno, doesn't seem worth it to me but I'm a curmudgeon.

I get where you're coming from as far as an IP address goes but don't be so quick to judge, there's more than one way to skin a cat. How about going somewhere with public wifi? I mean I'm no expert but I don't think they could link my device to checking the tracking # like this. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also maybe it's not going to my house. Many a reason to track package, not everyone's situation is the same and without putting too much information out there for all to see, I may believe my method is not as risky as other ways of receiving mail.

They can use the MAC address which is a unique ID linked to your device. Its just not worth it. Get the source to check it and email you where its at, save you going down to subway to use their shit ass wifi. In the end, its incredibly incredibly unlikely to cause you problems, but damn you'd be kicking yourself if it ever did especially cos its not like it gets it to you any faster if you track it.

If for some reason the package gets intercepted and for whatever reason someone in authority wanted to "make a deal" out of it I would rather LE shows up to my door with no linkage to any postal tracking, rather than having logs of the tracking being checked in the same city that the package was being sent.

Though for LE to get this involved in a single package chances are they have been on to you for a while already.

Yes @Apexvallen does indeed make some very valid points and and I appreciate his feedback as well as others that's why I'm here, to learn. I'm definitely not trying to seem like a know it all but now I would like to help others. I had taken into account the possibility of tracing my device back to me, so I had a friend purchase a old, cheap device for me to use for these types of purposes. You can probably pick up one for way under $40 off of craigslist. Keep the device turned off and not stored at your house and only possess it for handling this type of business. This should be a pretty low risk option for conducting such business.

You're getting way to paranoid. Kick back, chill, and don't even think about it. Tracking a parcel will do nothing to make it arrive faster. If it doesn't arrive in a month or so phone your guy.
