Expired syringe filter

Easy chaps I’ve got 1 syringe filter left but it expired may 2021 I’m wanting to just cook up a quick 30ml of test prop do you think it will still be good to use or shall I order some new ones? It is still sealed and never been opened so I can’t understand how it’s not sterile anymore. So I thought I’d ask you guys any info or advice greatly appreciated

Not sure. But I brewed my first batch with expired PVDF filters. And I still filter BA with them to make bac water.

I’d probably use the filter, 9 months isn’t that long. Sterility shouldn’t be a problem, assuming it’s not open I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be. I’m no filter expert but I’d guess the issue with expired might be the membrane getting dry/brittle but who knows.

Thanks man I’ve ordered new just incase. Although I do agree with you I just wimped out haha
