Fatigued while cutting for show

have you really never met a coach or competitor that uses a (relatively) higher carb approach? the only argument im trying to make here is that i have seen people with different philosophies get the same results. so i asked you to explain yours because im trying to learn, not to belittle your knowledge.

It's perfectly possible to keep carbs relatively high for most of the contest prep. The issue is, especially towards the end leading up to the show, is that your calories are so low, protein intake must remain high to retain muscle mass, and fats are an essential nutrient that carbs are the macro most cut down to achieve their calorie deficit. My buddy who won his pro card a little while back was eating ice cream, brownies, etc up until a few weeks from his show. He just cut his fat intake drastically to be able to keep his carbs higher

I would definitely only take the vlogs/blogs you see as a general reference. The majority of guys that post these things prep others for money, do you really think you're going to get their real formula?? Definitely not. The best thing you could do is find a coach. Not only to work your diet but to give a second set of eyes to see if any changes need to be made along the way.

Thanks for all of the thoughts and advice guys. I will unfortunately not be able to compete for another 6-8 months due to health complications. Looks like the gear I bought was faked and fucked me up pretty badly, one of my kidneys is looking ruff and my liver too. I was taking arimidex and still managed to get gyno on the right nipple so I have no idea what was in that gear but I'm pretty pissed off. I don't do super doses of gear and always used the minimum out of fear that too much will negatively affect my Diabetes. I went to a sports Endo and he's pretty knowledgeable about bodybuilding and using PED's so he's going to help me out but for the next few months I'll be cycling off to let my organs recover. Endo said that the lethargy was due to the damage being done in the body, I knew something was off. Anyways, I'm still hitting the gym, eating clean, and waiting to get the clearance to start prepping for a show again... bit of a downer because this would have been my first show but shit happens. Hopefully I can find a reliable source to buy from when I start cycling again lol. Thanks again guys.
