Hey guys a few of you know me well but I'm sure a lot don't .I've been at this for about 11years and have gained 100lbs and my whole life is about this
Lately I've just been feeling a total loss of drive in the gym. All day i may think about training, my goals, progress etc but I get in the gym and grab the bar and just don't have that intensity to push.
I was near the end of my cycle, nothing out of the ordinary for compounds and doses. Figured maybe it was just due to everything hurting so I dropped down to a cruise, took a week off from training and started focusing on daily yoga, stretching and foam rolling. Got a deep tissue massage, and have more scheduled.
Got in the gym tonight and just wasn't feeling it as soon as I grabbed the bar. Never been like this. I guess it's feeling unmotivated and discouraged? As far as this past cycle and current cruise, doses and ai is all what I've always used and previous blood work checked out.
Even let myself have a couple cheat meals this past week. My thought is its a combo of my work schedule pushing my workouts back to 9pm and I'm up at 7am, a long with just aches and pains. Also discouraged by a hamstring/glute injury that's preventing me from training legs, doing deadlifts or any freeweight row movements.
I figured if I cruise for 8 weeks, stay consistent with yoga and soft tissue work, pull back training intensity a bit at least until I feel driven again that might be a good idea.
I'm sure others experience this. Any insight?
